I think the two main differences between the Gibbs Skins and the Zorn Skins is the Zorn team never seems to get rattled or lose their cool (even when they fall behind), and they stay aggressive on offense even after they have the lead. Gibbs used to piss me off so badly when they'd get the lead and then play ultra-conservative on offense. I've always hated it when a team gets their opponent down, but fails to put them away. Zorn doesn't seem to have that problem.

I just can't say enought about how well JC is playing. Granted his stats are not eye droping but his run on 3rd down was golden, no indecison at all. The kid has just passed some major tests and his confidence is going to continue to grow and help this team. Lets keep plugging as CP says

I like that, the last few weeks, Zorn has had a lot of faith in his offense to convert first downs to finish off games.

I'm not going to lie -- after that failed 3rd down, I was kind of leaning towards a punt to pin the Eagles back inside the 20. But Zorn wanted no part of that, and the run out of the shotgun definitely caught me off guard. Just a great play call...

Zorn's willingness to go for it on 4th and 1 is a huge advantage, we have a coach that has big bowling balls...what a beautifull play from Randle-El to ey, and Suisham nails a 50 yarder. Great day.

I wonder how many more games the Skins will have to win before they're finally recognized by the so called experts as ligitimate contenders? It cracks me up when these idiots keep picking against the Skins and the Skins keep proving them wrong ;0)

Their response to this win is to say that the Giants are the best team in football, that's just what they're saying.


For everyone who read or posted on my "Money or Redskins" thread listen to this...

So I go to work and my friend who's at the sports bar text's me and says The Redskins are down 14-0 and so I take lunch early and race to the bar, as soon as I got there we kicked the second field goal to go 6-14, From then on I stayed for the whole game and the redskins played great and won, yet the part I missed we went down 14 points, I'm convinced I must now watch all Redskins games or there is trouble. When I came back to work from a 2 and half hour 1 hour lunch break they we're like "where you been" I said something like it took me forever to get outta there.

Anyone saying the Dwarfs are the best team in football are basing that solely on their 4-0 record. Look at the quality of the Dwarf's opponents compared to that of the Skins. There's no comparison. The Dwarfs have beaten a bunch of nobodys, while the Skins are 4-1 against some of the best teams in football, and 3 of those games were on the road. I'm not saying the Skins are the best team, but I certainly think they're in the top 5 and are capable of beating ANY team.

One of those "nobodies" they beat, in case you forgot, was the Skins.

I didn't forget it, and the Skins were a nobody team in week one. There's no way the Dwarfs would beat the Skins that easily now, if they could beat them at all! This is a far different and far better team now.

great last 3 quarters, once again the Refs missed a call on that clip on the punt return. these Refs getting worse every week. But the last 3 quarters were great. Shaun Shizam has really stepped up this year. any one think this time last year he would have missed at least 1 if not 2 of those field goals?? and i absolutely loved that 4th and 1 call. i've been dieing cuz of Gibbs conservative play call the past few years and im ecstatic to see we have a coach whos willing to roll the dice. We look freakin awesome right now.

Take that quality secondary, which includes Dawkins, Asante Samuel, Sheldon Brown and Lito Sheppard, completely out of the game.

Even being down by 14 points early on, Zorn stuck to his game plan and ran the ball. More evidence? On a 4th down play to end the game, Zorn had the guts to call a RUN play, against that stellar run defense.

Zorn could have easily game planned to have JC pass the ball all over the place. But instead, he put the ball in Portis' hands and let the o-line open holes in that top rated run defense. Just incredible coaching.

Not really. I think something like JC's first six passes went incomplete. Finally ey caught one and got the ball rolling.

Either way we're both arriving to the same conclusion that Zorn is a good HC. You say he planned for it, I say he adjusted to it, either way it was awesome.

"I had a great view of his grit and the offensive line's grit on that play. And he made it. He called it and he ran it and he got it. And that was a huge, huge play in the football game."

For Portis, the call made sense -- the natural choice for an offense that had kept the Eagles guessing all game long. But his coach's decision to take his star's advice was yet another example of the faith he had shown in his team throughout the game.

"He set it up throughout the season, and we'd been throwing the ball on short yardage, so just to keep the defense on their feet," Portis said. "I said, 'Coach, I think it'd be a great play.' He [just] looked at me."

"I didn't know he was going to call it and then we got in the huddle, [quarterback] Jason [Campbell] called the play," Portis said.

"So I knew [Coach] believed in me and I had to get those two yards."

Seriously...these guys will play their hearts out for Zorn, because he trusts them. That's incredible.

Actually, I believe we are both correct, Chris. I think they intended to run the ball all along and used a some passes early on to soften up the defense. But regardless, as you said, it clearly shows good coaching and confidence in his players.
