Iffy staying with the redskins next yr

Post by 2K1NSM2U »

Is it definite that he is going to be with the redskins next yr since he is a RFA. If it is have the redskins tried to negotiate a new deal with him or has any other teams. Is this how Clinton Portis is trying to get the #26 he wants??

If Matt Bowen is a better SS than Ohalete, then why wasn't Bowen the starting SS last year?

may the best man win! not given 8)

Iffy has to show that he can adapt. Nobody is a "sure thing" on a Gibbs roster.
Whatever happens to his number after that, happens.

Bowen and Taylor will be the starters...

It will be open for the reserve roles after that with Lott and "O" batteling it out.

We did not bring in much compitition after these two guys so if no one becomes available after June 1 then we are pretty set without much comp.

he's pulled some play for us from time 2 time...good luck "O"......im rooting 4 ya

got to agree what good is a number if you have a jersey to put it on.. or no one sees you wearing it?

Iffy will be a Skin if we can help it - he had 3 ints this past year and I think around the same the year before. Even if Taylor is Ed Reed and Roy Williams all rolled into one, he could still have a twanger in a hammy and need backup - and I would rather have Ohalete than anyone else we have on our roster backing him up

So when do the redskins plan on resigning him since what i really wanted to know is about him being a RFA. There hasnt been much talk about it any where so i was just wondering. Seems like when all the UFA the redskins brought in that would of been a perfect time for Iffy to get a new contract done...sign the offer sheet

he did - way back.

He was offered the minimum tender to receive compensation if he got picked up by another team...

He is under contract already. One year tender, but I figure if he comes on strong we'll see him re-signed to a longer one later.

This is great news! I have always liked Iffy. I have been hearing that Bowen will start along side of Taylor! I am casting my vote for Iffy to start instead of Bowen! Eitherway we have more depth now in our secondary!
