I found out why we have been stockpiling so many receivers!

Apparently the marketing staff is designing a new preseason half time show called "Receivers and Redskinettes".

This is supposed to increase the preseason game draws to pay for all the salary bonuses. But to do this well, I'm told we need to have an equal number of receivers as we do Redskinettes. They should get about 3 or 4 more just in case someone sprains an ankle though.

Should be a great show...

Seriously, I'm beginning to wonder if we have a "Mr. Smith Virus" receiver in our midst a la the Matrix movies, that just keeps recreating himself. I thought this would end with Spurrier, but apparently has not. We're gonna have like 10+ for camp again.

Isn't it crazy!! I thought Spurrier was bad, but dang...Actually i think the only reason they should be doing this is if they plan on saving money by cutting or dealing one or two recievers who made the team last year...???

think about it this way - we have to have enough receivers to keep 4 quarterbacks busy in camp :)

When you have that many receivers in one place, it's going to become painfully obvious which ones are putting in the hard work needed to be a Redskin. If Thrash has a campaign anything like his first tenure, he'll be near (or at) the top of that list.

A lot of these guys are probably here just so the coaching staff can see what they can do. As for a guy like Thrash, he is probably here for special teams more than anything else. I am sure many of them are in that same boat. If a guy looks good why not bring him in? It's not like we're finalising our roster, the second mini-camp is this weekend!

Well I don't know about that. Many of you might have read mine or Mark's or others many training camp reports last year (I was enjoying all the benefits that unemployment had to offer, so I tended to show up at least 3 times a week or more). One thing I noticed is that because they had 70+ receivers in camp (OK, maybe a slight exageration), there never seemed to be a clear syncing of QBs to receivers. There were so many in the drills that I thought the ones that were obviously sticking (this was obvious after the first week in all but one or two cases) were getting short changed by people that were clearly going home.

Okay, it's official. I have now heard everything.
That's Mr. Snyder, working for you. We aren't the most profitable franchise for nuthin', you know.
I love this man and his mind. I wish I had half his sense of what makes money. It isn't really about our end of the deal ( the team itself), but it is how we make the money to keep it all going.

"The Daniel" Just signed a multi-million dollar deal with CBS to do "Survivor : Redskin Park"

It features 12 Redskin Recievers who are trying to make the team and the Defensive backs get to vote them off.

....And the loosers have to play for the Ben-Gals for the whole year.

I'm starting to like this.

theyre all going to be used in our pass rushing scheme... along with our millions of lbs, and offensive linemen.. d mac and coles line up in a 3 point stance with samules in a 4 point in the middle and tim hasselback lined up on their #1 reciever and the qb is so bewildered he sacks himself... BRILLIANT
