I know may of us have already done this, so I am interested in what everyone put as player ratings for our draft picks.
Sean Taylor: I gave him a 87. I looked at his talents. And compared him to Reed, Dawkins, and Williams. I would have given him higher but he is a rookie. It is not fair to rank him that high so early.
Chris ey: I gave hi a 77. His pass ctaching skills brought him up his speed brought him down. He can block pretty good. He does not have great speed.
I did not rate our tackles. It is too hard to give offensive lineman ratings.

sounds about right. just make sure you had cooley boosted a bit on pass block and run block as opposed to speed and catching(although he did make a few tough grabs last season).

I had to keep on skipping thru the season in NCAA Football..until I got most of the players in the draft....deffinately all the ones the Skin's picked.
So, yea...your really close on that....I think ey comes out like 70 something before camp in Madden...and Taylor was an 80...which I felt was very low....but after camp and pre-season....you can always boost the player up real good.
I had to use the NCAA players....cause it makes it more real to me....you can even rent it...and just skip thru the season...then save the draft guys at the end
cwb, a lot of times when you skip through, the simulation is terrible. it's kinda the same way on madden. you have to earn your prize in a sense. but 70 and 80 respectivley isn't that bad. like you said, training camp is an awesome addition.

When I edit rookies I always edit them as just above average if they are expected to be studs. Then I let them play for a year, and after the seaason boost them a little. By their third year's they are stars....
they probably wont give taylor that bad of a rating in 2005, the way safeties have come out of college and instantly contributed lately (williams, reed) he probably wont have nearly as low ratings as them (i think williams was low 80's, reed was high 70's in 2003)
I used NCAA to import a draft class into madden, and Taylor came out as a 90, no joke. He's an absolute beast on my team, and not to mention that is the highest I have ever seen a player come out of a madden draft.

I'm not gonna take the time to make a created player but when Madden 2005 comes out, I think Taylor will be 83- 85 and ey will probably be a 69- 73. There's no way they're gonna rate a 3rd round pick higher than that.... Until updated rosters come out.
