Great 4th Q performance by Jason Campbell. It was the whole difference in the ball game. If Campbell can maintain this level of play, good things can happen for the Redskins.

Had me worried in the first half, because we let a lot of opportunities slip by us as usual. Glad to see him step up in the 2nd half, and make those big plays, especially that play to Moss, and the 3rd and long play to CC was a huge boost to the team O-line - outstanding effort.

The defense should have everyone feeling good about where this team is. Blache has these guys playing huge.

Brooks.....just awful. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come from him. or we'll need to find someone else. He accounted for -10 points today.

Horton was amazing has been besides the one bad angle he took in NY.

It was good to see alittle fire in Jason Campbell, sometimes it just seems his competitive juices are not flowing but after that td that was probably the most animated we've seen him. Portis kept us in the game. Durant Brooks needs to be taken to task for the reggie td.

Our offense has a long way to go but that was how you fight to win, I also thought Jason Taylor showed up to play today, maybe my "Jason Taylor sucks?" thread inspired him

On more note... the Skins held the entire Saints offense to 55 yards in total rushing, and Brees ran for 9 of those yards. The d-line played pretty darn good today.

I agree. He seemed alittle more confident and loose today, especially throwing to ey down the field. On the postgame show on Comcast, BMitch made a point that ey is the key to Campbell's success. In that if he goes to ey more he can be more successful because ey is hard to tackle and it loosens up things for the WRs because now teams have to key on ey.

I agree, he is a probowl guy, use him! JT got a sack, Horton is impresive. Portis is hitting stride, so is Moss. Campell, FINALLY, use them big guns!


I hope Moss can keep up the intensity, keep the fire under his butt and keep playing like this. I'm glad, GLAD we are actually throwing deep, and keeping the speedy Moss involved, WE need to do this more often.

One game is not a season, as we all said last week, but it sure helps when that game is a win!.

Hail to the Redskins. Remember Gene Brito every time a DE makes a play. I wish Sammy Baugh was in good health, but at least Sonny saw the pass to Moss.

Trying to tone down my enthusiasm, but this is way different than a win by Spurrier. That offense was not fit for the NFL. Richie Petibon, our great defensive coordinator, stopped every Spurrier-like offense in 1991: call it Red Gun, Silver Streak, Run & Shot, Floopdie Whoop or Mouse Davis's Genius plan, but Petibon and the Redskins proved that it wouldn't work.

Before the NFC championship game, reporters asked Petibon, "Coach, the Lions scored 45 points on the Cowboys last week. How can you possibly stop them?"

Petibon just said, "Oh, I don't know, but we probably won't try what the Cowboys did". Just for the pleasure of remembering, and explaining to those too young to remember the Gibbs teams, Sir Charles Mann sprinted through the Lion's right tackle, waved at Barry Sanders, and knocked QB Erik Kramer a few feet in the air...and knocked the ball about five yards away. Redskins recovered, scored on the next play, and the game was over.

Fun to remember.

That's why we knew that Spurrier's coaching in the NFL would be no more effective than Spurrier's quarterbacking. (As Casey Stengel said, you can look it up.)

At the very least, thngs look better with a win than with two losses.

What happened to that "NFL executive" who told the Post that Campbell could only play QB for a Coryell/Gibbs/Saunders offense?

...Horton. Damn. This dude is a gamer. I wonder if this showing is enough to earn the starting gig. He was all over the place. The more he plays and becomes familiar with the defensive system, he will get even better. Scary thought for those that still like Doughty. And Moore is supposed to be the better player of the two rookie safeties. Another scary thought for Doughty. Horton impressed me quite a bit today. I think Moore backing up Landry and Doughty backing up Horton might be the right way to go. Doughty has never impressed the way Horton has in just a few games...

Not only did he most likely win himself the starting SS spot, I'd say he won himself the NFC DPOW award for Week 2, even with J Tuck's monster day in St. Louis.

TWO picks and a fumble recovery? A critical stop on 3rd and short late in the game? You gotta be kidding me. This rook is for real...

Awesome win today. It's only one game though. Still, I liked what I heard (couldn't see this one, sigh). They came out with something to prove - and did.

The Secondary needed a big game if there was any posibility of a win. They showed up BIG TIME. Crucial plays at critical moments in the game.

Gutsy win. The Offense finally stepped after the D kept us in all game.

There I was at Johnathan's Grille in Nashville, Tennessee hearing nothing but the screams of titans and colts fan for a brief moment the bar was fairly quiet then the game on the far back tv showing the saints v. skins featured a long bomb to santanna, and I start yelling "OH OH OH! YEAAAH!" standing up giving a victorious pump of my fist, shortly after realizing I was the only one cheering, it was no matter, my Skins had done it, life was great and my waitress was hot. God bless the Skins and God Bless America!

i went to the game, and it was my 1st game. and it was amazing!!!!!! i cant even explain how much fun i had, and it wouldnt have been the same if they had lost. GO SKINS!!!!!

Can we get a thread up with all the "expert" picks for this game with the Saints. The Saints are such a media darling like the Vikes, Cowpukes, and Gnats I doubt any media guy picked us, I didn't see how jimmy howie and terry picked I'll bet it was all NO.

Great Victory no question, if you saw Jason Campbell in his press conference he seemed to have a different look in his eyes like he was on a real mission, anyone who's ever thrown a football knows how hard it is to launch that kinda pass and put it on the money, besides the great throw what made that play was his ability to avoid the rush and keep looking downfield, at times I've been frustrated with him even in this game about his lack of mobility, I've seen him tuck it and go before but in NY and even today he was just not going to scramble, the two point conversion try was wide open for him to tuck and run, I think if we can get some of that back into his game we'll be very dangerous.

I did notice ALOT of empty seats in fedex, I sent a text to my friend who used to live in VA and said "what's up with the empty stadium?" he just said "weird", we need the fans there, if I have to start driving from TN so be it, but we need fans there.

The score should have been 35-10 if you think about it, special teams miscues on our part is what made this a game. 1 missed FG, 1 muffed FG snap, Randal-El's fumble which lead to 7 points and a REALLY poor punt.

Once this game is broken down, thats about as dominant of a performance as we have seen here in a while, on both sides of the ball against a very good football team, Special Teams absolutely killed us today.

All in all, it made last weeks loss hurt alot less, and the outlook for the rest of the season considerably brighter
