Three Cheers for Kerry Collins

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Three Cheers for Kerry Collins

Post by Skinsfan55 »

Love or hate the former Giants quarterback he came into New York a bum, a loser and a quitter and he raised himself above all that, overcame the stigma hanging over him and took his team to a Super Bowl.

So many lesser players would say "screw it" and leave their careers behind living comfortably with their first contract and signing bonus but Collins' love of the game shown through and he persevered.

He entered the league a little rough around the edges and will leave as a class act.

I salute you Kerry Collins, you are a true NFL success story.

And I am happy he is leaving because that means at least this year NY isn't set at QB. Manning? He will take a beating if he starts, so they have to find a veteran out there and I am not sure what is available.

Kerry definately grew up after his early problems in NC. Good luck to him.

Yes, I was very anti-Kerry for his attitude until I read stories about how much he cleaned up his act. Though he's still a Giants quarterback, I'd rather see people of his kind than a hundred TO's.
