Got Acrophobia?

Currently, the Burj Dubai is 688 Metres (2,236 Feet) tall.
This is a view from the not-yet completed top.
Rumour has it this thing will be 900 Metres (3,000) feet tall when it is said and done.
For reference, the skyscrapers on either side are over 50 stories tall each.
And check out the construction workers on the outside framing.

As an architect, I'd have to vote in the 'Really Awesome' category. And while construction site safety tends to be reeeeeeally lacking in non-US countries, I'm sure those guys are tethered.

Rumor has it (Yes, another rumor) that there will be a high rise apartment complex built next to the Burj Dubai called the Al-Burj, which is to be between 1,200 and 1,600 Metres.

As an architect, I'm sure the difference is evident.
As a layperson, the number of windows between the top of Burj Dubai and the top of Al-Burj is between 60 and 70.

Personally, I think the Burj Dubai has more architectural appeal.

I think King Kong would really help put all this into perspective!!

Those guys have some balls to get up there on an insanely tall building like that. If I were to try and work that high off the ground I would probably faint which would be a very bad thing. I like thrill rides, but I am not a fan of heights.

I have a bad fear of heights and almost crapped myself looking at that picture.

I've seen shows on the building. It's very amazing.

The poll choices are not mutually exclusive, and I wouldn't vote for either of them. Nice picture, though.

I can't call it a waste of money considering what they spend their money on....

This is what they'll look like when they finish them.
