I tell you that this is a good move for one reason. If we can get a TE who doesn't drop a lot of balls, can go out as a viable threat and can operate out of a 2 WR 2 TE 1 RB mode and become a threat in a max protect mode (or some alignment like that) then he is a good pickup.

Just my opinion...

... if he can get/stay in shape. The Vikes cut him because he was 30 lbs overweight reporting to camp. He's back down to 242 lbs (yes, he was 270 at the start of TC).

He was a really good TE last year though, so hopefully we got him at the right time. Any offensive threat is never a bad thing to have.
