That's for sure. Usually I try to be optimistic, and just trying to vent a little. But you have to admit... we look very unready to play organized professional football.

I'll concede, this looks awful all around, but I'll also say there are 15 games and 3 quarters of football left, and I've seen the Redskins get their act together late in games enough to never count them out, no matter how pathetic they look at the beginning of games.

That's all I ask as well.

And you can tell if a player/team has the basics -- can you block, tackle, read coverage, etc. -- in preseason games even if they're running the vanilla-est of gameplans.

And I didn't see that this year. In fact, in got progressively worse in the five games. You're looking for the other way around.

I will never allow myself to stop watching this game, but it looks like I'm not going to get to see much good. I don't understand our lack of effort.
