We all know how that turned out -

My heritage has been difficult for me at times, as you can imagine. The British Isles in me LOVES me whiskey (God did invent it to keep us from taking over the world, 'tis true)...but then the native American in me takes over and I have to struggle not to scalp myself...

Another interesting angle, WHO are you descended from. I'm descended from the Adams family.

John Augustine Washington, George's brother, is my 8th great grandfather.

My tree includes 3 Presidents, and 2 Canadian Prime Ministers. Also, Jacques Cartier (isn't half of Canada somehow related to him???), Patrick Henry, Daniel Boone, Pancho Villa, and the legendary Wild Bill Sullivan of Sullivan's Hollow, in Mississippi. All lines researched so far were in the Americas prior to the Revolution by at least 40 years, and most before 1700...

My son, through his Mom, is a cousin of the late Tom Landry... It's ok, son... he was an honorable man...

So I've heard... I've also heard that he won't allow his own poor son to watch cartoons on Saturday mornings, or even feed him, because he is watching golf and sucking down cheap swill. Poor, abused child. (His grandfather would never be so cruel...)

There is a rumour that one member of THN is directly related to Josef Goebbels.

I'm fairly certain that I was speaking hypothetically... but I could add a disclaimer...

"Please ignore the man behind the curtain."

Thank you.

Impressive pedigree, CT. Must be nice to open a Who's Who of American History and see family names inside.

Fear not... your secret is safe...

Goebbels sharp, clear-sighted intelligence, his oratorical gifts and flair for theatrical effects, his uninhibited opportunism and ideological radicalism blossomed in the service of an insatiable will-to-power.

Sounds like me.
