Don't be too sure on that...Having Coles and Gardner to force corners to play man to man, that's going to leave McCants open in the slot in the seam and over the middle just like that one guy by the name of Art Monk who played in the slot...Granted McCants has better hands than Gardner, but Gardners presence on the field along with Coles (and throw Jacobs out there as well) and that leaves a nickel or dime back or a safety on McCants which = TOUCHDOWN!!! Oh I just figured out who it will be besides Trotter, and maybe Candidate.

NO BODY. Gardners career will be revived. In the other systems he was in it was impossible for him to do well.

Samuels is fired up so he will return to form.

No. Not going to happen. #1) Buges has been raving about him since day 1 and #2) It would be a hyge cap hit, and is something we don't need now.

He's been cut....he will not be at the next mini-camp.

Sorry, no story or link about it, but at espn.com-Redskins clubhouse, you can see the updated depth chart and they report him as CC(cap casualty).

So, he's deffinately gone.....it just takes a day or 2 for the story...since he's not a big name or anything.

Now we just wait to see who's next.....Iffy maybe???

First of all, if Larry Moore is healthy he will be released. They won't release an injured player, and he has been one.

Second, why would they release a 3 int safety and keep someone like Andre Lott or Franz who hasn't done anything?

Iffy is another of the core Redskins, in my mind... he has played his heart out, but unfortunately for the wrong coaches in the wrong schemes. The guy can be a ball hawk too. If we were going to release him, why would we offer him a minimum RFA tender to keep him?

There are like 27 players on the roster more than the 53 man final roster, and eight of those will be on the practice squad with minimum compensation (I think 50k a year)...

But with all the camp fodder with 250-350k contracts, there is more than enough people to cut without giving up on someone like Iffy. I suspect we will see Lott or Franz go bye bye.

Taylor and Bowen will start, Iffy will back up Bowen and Lott/Franz will backup Taylor, most likely. I think Franz was a terror on ST though so he might have a bit of an edge.

Let's cut the deadweight before we give up on people who have played hard for us, whatcha say? :)

That sounds good to me skinsfan :D I hope we don't cut Iffy...cause he has proved himself as a Redskin and would be great depth for the db area. Either at FS...SS...or CB, I just hope he cooperates and will do what the coaches ask of him.
