I mean how can you NOT like all the missed tackles, the ridiculous sound bites, the missed assignments, the personal fouls, and his "protest" against the media. Aside from the good year he had under Marvin Lewis, the interception that turned salvaged us from a losing season, and the hit that knocked Aikman into retirement, he's done not much of anything that has benefitted the TEAM and not himself.
BTW- I'm glad you asked, since I had to make my 100th post memorable (to me). Lavar is one bad year away from being a bust IMO. And an overpaid one, at that.
Don't sound like you are 100% Redeemed?
For me, I am 100% behind them in the good times and bad.
One year away from a bust? A 3 time ProBowler?
Laughable!
Protest against the media? I think I see Lavar on every sports show, interview. He has a weekly interview on WTEM and was a guest host on ESPN's Dream Job.
Missed tackles? I could swear Lavar led the team in tackling..I think he ties Armstead in 2002 and he was tops in 2003...I mean how did he get voted to 3 Pro Bowls?
How many games has he missed?
Oh!!! I get, you were being sarcastic. Funny guy.

Personal attacks on contributors to forum = not cool

(as per forum rules).
I'm 100% behind the team as well

, which makes Lavar's actions deplorable and detrimental to the team, at times.
Yes, he shows flashes of greatness, a lot of highlight material, but hardly worthy of being placed among the elite at his position.
The Skins have had more productive LBs in the past at a smaller price tag.
I heard his interviews all season long on WTEM, which, by the way, is a PAID APPEARANCE (A LOT MORE THAN

FOR HIS APPEARANCE), much like the DREAM JOB gig. He is not "lending" himself to the people, but selling himself to the highest bidder (YEAH, I KNOW, FREE COUNTRY, FREE WILL, OWN MAN, etc.).
As for leading in tackles, I think our porous D-Line contributes to that number, not to mention his being all "over the field" as he jumps in on dogpiles and stuff.
If it were not for his popularity in this area, I think we would seriously begin to rethink throwing money at this guy the way Snyder has.
Anyone remember how Warren Sapp punked "big bad #56" last year? Remember Lavar "comin'out gunnin'", just to get fooled on a play twice?? What a joke.
On the positive side, I DO HOPE he makes a turnaround this year and becomes the player he was projected to be when we drafted him. Then he'd be MUCH more deserving of the accolades he receives from the media and fans alike. Let's go, SKINS!!!
