Larry Allen question
How does Allen visiting and possibly signing with the kittens or the faiders effect the pukes' cap situation or dead money situation? Not favorably I hope.
I can see the ignorant faiders signing him.

God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

He'll be cut pre-June 1st or traded before camp or it's not worthwhile to unload him this season.
Dallas has plenty of cap space, most are hypothesising that the lack of major spending in FA was in anticipation of this, so forwarding what's left of his SB won't really hurt the team.
If he's gone pre-June 1 or traded after, which also accelerates his bonus, the Cowboys will have between $5.7-6.2 million left before signing draft picks.
His cap hit this year is in the $5.5 range and cutting him this season would only raise it to around $8.
The only problem with letting him go is a shocking amount of "dead" money on this year's cap when it's coupled with Galloway, Young, and a few minor ones.
On the upside, the cap space for 2005 could be upwards of $20 million.
** I edited his cap #s.

You're forgetting that he already has a "hit" on the cap this year. The only number you need to look at when discussing cap hits for cutting players is the difference between what he would cost to keep vs. cut.
EX. a team has $10 million in cap space. Player A is making 5 million this season. He would count as $7 million if he's cut. The cap space would only drop $2 million (the difference) so the team would still have $8 million left, not $3 million.

The whole problem with Parcells/Allen is driven by differences of opinion on weight training. Parcells has always used one system to great success while Allen resents being told how to lift.
Allen is big into the bench (allegedly benching 750+) while Parcells doesn't place emphasis on that.
Allen's working out on his own a the Y, while most of the rest of the team are working out at the Cowboys' facility.
