With all due respect to Kareem Moore, and to G4L, there will never be another Sean Taylor. There will be plenty of good and a few great safeties. But Sean was just beginning his career, was already a Pro Bowler, and was nowhere near the top of his potential, IMO. When every coach at every level says you're the best talent they've ever had or seen, and that list includes the names of those who coached ST, you're in a class by yourself. I think ST was the only safety who had a chance of tying or breaking the 10 ProBowl record of another Redskins great, Ken Houston.
I have to admit, though, I like what I've seen from Kareem Moore. A lot. He has instincts, and those can't be taught. He has natural ability, and that can't be taught. He has what Reed Doughty doesn't have. But Reed still has the work ethic and the game experience that Moore needs to get to the next level. I think he'll get there.

I like both of those safeties. I think we did really good on the 2nd day in general!!

Agreed. I was really liking Horton trying to take heads off. I think both safeties should be headhunters. Of course, I don't think the NFL would appreciate that nickname, but who cares? I think I recall reading that Horton knocked out more players in collecge than Muhammad Ali knocked out fighters in the ring. If either one of these players could develop enough to lock LL into one position (and we seem to be split on which position) it would be much better for the defense overall, IMO.

I think we may have done better on the 2nd day than the 1st. Moore, Horton, Jackson, Brooks & Brennan have al impressed me.

Yeah, 1st day guys, only Davis has impressed. Maybe Kelly will show us something tomorrow; he's supposed to take a few snaps. I am really, really interested and seeing what our safety situation looks like next year after they get a year of NFL under their belts. Maybe next year we can address our defensive line

Ali knocked out 37 people in his pro career. I seriously doubt Horton ko'd 37 people in college.
I was almost sure I misread something. It was probably two different articles. I remember reading about the number of players Horton knocked out of games but I don't remember the number. It was probably 17 or 13 and I combined the wrong numbers.
It's the preseason so you can't read too much into one game. However, if there was one area that was particularly concerning and could be a sign of things to come it's the offensive line. Two guys are coming off of injuries, Kendall has bad knees, and every starter is over 30 years of age. I think that Samuels will be fine, but the other four I'm not so sure about.
I do not think this game was an indication in any way of what might transpire this season - it was a pre season game nothing more, nothing less. The only thing interesting to me is that it was the next to last pre season game this year
we are going to be competitive but we need another year to be where we all (as fans) expect to be, as far as being a good team is concerned
then again, if the worst team in our division can beat an unbeaten team, anything is possible
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
