Mike Williams cut by Titans
Hey, Mike Williams fans. I remember THN at the 2005 draft well—there was quite a bit of outrage when we selected Carlos Rogers and Williams went to Detroit in the 10th slot.
Well, now's our chance to pick up the guy for free, if we still want him. I'd pass, but maybe he's still got a fan or two on the board. . .

Williams weighed around 270 pounds when he signed with Tennessee and lost more than 30 pounds this offseason in an effort to salvage his career.
But conditioning, weight and endurance remained issues for the former University of Southern California star, who had unsuccessfully petitioned the NFL for early entrance into the 2004 draft.
I'll pass.
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

What's going on here? 4 replies and no one demanding that we pick him up?????
Fine.
I'll do it.
[tongue-in-cheek]We need him. He has tons of potential and just needs a break. Sign him now, Danny.[/tongue-in-cheek]

If you're talking to Danny, it would be more like:
[tongue-in-bung]We need him. He has tons of potential and just needs a break. Sign him now, Danny.[/tongue-in-bung]

It seems to be the only way to get Danny to listen or care.

That's funny, Irn. I saw that on the NFLN last night and thought the same thing. I will admit that I, at the time, wanted the Skins to draft him. Sure am glad they passed. I just can't believe that such a highly touted player like Williams failed so miserably.

Unfortunately, it happens quite a bit. Talent alone isn't enough to make it in this league - you've got to have the personal dedication to develop and apply your talent, or it'll just go wasted. M. Williams isn't even the only 1st round WR to go bust for Detroit - Charles Rogers was also a huge bust.
