No Redskins player on this list.......???

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

All I have to say is, so what? I'd rather have a team with good talent all around vs. a team with one or two tremendous talents and a bunch of duds. How many times did the team with the defensive player of the year win the Super Bowl that same year? Sometimes, but not most of the time.

Not home grown doesn't matter, but to count, the award has to be earned while playing for the Skins.

Within 3 years, that list will include Laron Landry.

I just put it on the internet, so it must be true.

(I just happen to believe it is a strong possibility)

I'd take Darrel Green over most of that list.

As much as I feel like we've had great players, those names on the list are ok to me. I mean, really there's never 1 great defensive player in the year but you can only pick 1 so I can't really argue with who's up there. Someone said it earlier though, look out for Landry

Anyone else notice about half of that list is players who were on SuperBowl losing teams? Some of them lost the SuperBowl more than once. I'll take the Three Lombardi Trophies over the meaningless individual awards, if it's all the same to everyone else. Teams win football championships, not individual players.

again, the speculation comment comes to mind. 'should, woulda, coulda.'

no one has forgotten, and not saying he wouldn't, but its a moot point. time to move on, it will never happen, now. :(

I think 21 was on pace to win it in 2007, and that would NOT have been his last.

God I miss him.
I miss you 21.

For sure ST was gonna win it. He was way ahead of everyone in interceptions before he passed. Not to mention plenty of tackles. Argghhh hate to think about it. Anyhow R.I.P meast.

I think Laron Landry had an excellent example like ST get an impression on how to play saftey in this league. I mean look at how he played during his first playoff game. I believe he had two interceptions that game against Seattle. Laron for sure.

laron will get it in the next 2-3 years. he will take a big step this year. what i really like about laron is that he hates to lose. its still sad to see that picture of him all by himself on the bench with his head down
