Stink dissing Skins again

i think he hit the nail on the head. until the front office and owner get it right,the on field product will suffer.... no matter who is playing or who is coaching. there has to be a team effort off the field, as well as on the field. everyone has to be on the same page from top to bottom, from scouting to punting, free agency to running the football. we have just been lacking that. i don't see anything that has really changed. My 2 cents

i didn't hear one thing that was untrue. snyder does change his mind a lot. he does bring in the big name, even if they aren't a good fit. he said snyder does write the check for the player, but are they the right player? well are they? i'd say the ratio between players that were right and the players that weren't are in favor of the latter. so until we have some consistancy, he can say what he wants

I think that's a misconception that hasn't been true for awhile.

This year...no big name free agents, no big name coach.

Last year, no big name free agents, brought in 2 guys who fit our system before and we knew would work.

So...the last 2 years have been trending positive. Before then, total mess.

Schlereth is just P.O.'d cuz the skins wouldnt pay him more than he was worth and then he went to denver and won the super bowl so he thinks hes great and the redskins made a big mistake. get over it Stink and stop dissing the skins. ive heard him trash them a couple times in the past year

I agree, Pulp. This ownership and the front office has been improving for several years now. Stink talks about the turnover at the coaching position. Well, again, that was early on with Snyder, not recently. Gibbs was here for four years... then decided to retire. Snyder tried to get Gibbs to stay, but Gibbs made the choice to retire on his own. Stink talks of Zorn as if he's just a new little toy Snyder wanted to add to his collection, when in fact, Gibbs retired and Snyder was forced to hire a new coach.

The topic was which of the new coaches will have success. Golic had some legitimate points, in that the Skins already have a good team and an owner willing to pay for players to improve the team, meaning Zorn potentially has an edge on possible success out of the bunch. Stink said in that piece... "I don't even know if Zorn will be there next year..." :roll:

Please, Stink is a disgruntled little baby and just likes poking shots at the Skins whenever possible. The sad part is, it's so obvious with him.

You have a playoff team with a roster full of quality players and a 1-15 team with little to no talent. If the same coach took over both teams, would he have the same results with both teams? I think not. Golic was right on; Zorn is the obvious and logical choice, since he inherits the better team. That logic somehow eludes Stink. Gee... I wonder why? :roll:

I agree with Golic. Washington has to be the obvious choice.

The thing I have to take a "wait and see" with Zorn is the basics that Stink was talking about.

We all know Zorn is good with QB's but how will the rest of the team develope? Right now our OL starter are good vets, as well as most of our DL.

How hard will Zorn stay on these guys and push these guys? How much pressure will he but on a DB who always misses a tackle?

If these things fall through the cracks, and Zorn don't press these fundamentals. We will get progressively worse.

Now, Buges has the OL under control, however I don't know how long he will stay. So a lot rides on Joe I think as far as the OL goes.

In the same way stock analysts are now required to disclose any holdings in corporations they might be reviewing, former athletes should be made to make it clear if they have some reason to be bitter toward a team that used to employ them. Stink's analysis has never been worth much (he's average as an analyst, at best) and he CLEARLY has some lingering bitterness toward this franchise which makes anything he says a whiny little tirade of no value whatsoever.
