You don't need Photoshop to turn an image into your background... if you're on a PC, you should just be able to right-click on the image with your mouse, and select 'Set as background'.

Photoshop is an image manipulation program, so if you wanted to make changes to the image and then turn it into your background, you would use a program like Photoshop. There are a lot of more economical choices for photo editing than PS, but it is undoubtedly the cat's meow of the industry.

But if you're just looking to make an image your background... try the right click and post your results here...

I know how to set an image as my desktop background, but I was having trouble inserting a background into a picture in photoshop. The whole reason for me doing that is so I could create an avatar and hopefully use it on this site or another message board that I am a part of. I finally completed my avatar after many hours of trial and error. Although it still is kind of plain, I completed my task and hopefully will be able to increase my knowledge of manipulating images and such.

Cappster was trying to set an image as the background in an image he was creating, and I've seen the final product, so I'm guessing he figured it out.

I got this from a certain (nameless) mod's days when he was playing football... ya'll would never guess who it is!

This is one cup with many talents! (I photoshopped the straw... it originally had a couple of extra bends in it.)

That's actually NOT Fios - it's his twin brother Trios.

Trios has more of a protective shell because he was born with three... uh... nevermind...
