Turns out the Ocho Stinko needs scopes on BOTH ankles, and has known that he would need surgery since the end of last season. Why he didn't take care of this in the offseason is anyone's guess.....I assume he was too busy guest-editing ESPN the Magazine. To top it off, his problem is bone spurs, which grind down the synovial tissue in the joint, leading to chronic degenerative joint disease and often recur. This will definitely shorten his career and make him less manueverable.
