Go Red Wings! Fifteen Down, One to go!
Wow, killing off that 5-3 in the 3rd period was the bomb. My favorite teams, Redskins, Red Wings. Hmm...maybe I'm not meant to be a libertarian.
Go Wings!
Go Wings!
Hail to the Redskins!

Go Wings!
Being a Capitals fan, I'm really supposed to hate the Red Wings for that thrashing in the Stanley Cup Finals several years ago, however, I hate the Penguins even more. Therefore, Go Red Wings.

I can overlook the loss in the Stanley Cup finals, considering our playoff history with Pittsburgh.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

What they said. Go Wings (for the remainder of the finals only).

In another thread you said you couldn't see this game.... man did you pick a bad game to miss. This has been out-fricking--standing.

I watched the game, I said I couldn't watch it on TiVo. I've been working in Boston since early May, so during the week I can't watch on my big HDTV with TiVo. I'm adicted to both! I had to watch all the commercials! I'm here Monday-Thursday, normal consulting grind. But man, you're right, what a game it was even if we lost. If we hadn't shot the goal in our own net and given up the goal with their goalie pulled we win 3-1.

I think that's why they scored so fast. In the third OT looking at 4 minutes to kill the Wings just looked deflated. They may not have been that bad had it been only 2 to kill. Clearly that 4 mintes was the right call even if we got two BS goalie interference calls in OT.

In my opinion, they were dominating that third OT until that penalty. To make it even worse, Petr "the chump" Sykora calls it and then makes the game winner. I would put that guy into the boards every chance I got in Game 6.
On an unrelated note pertaining to a thread in the Washington Sports forum, I still think in my own (admittedly homer-biased) opinion, Ovie is hands down the winner of the Hart and Pearson, however, having watched a fair bit of the finals, can totally see how someone wanting to make the argument for Lidtrom could be so inclined to do so. He is dominent. He's is always in the right place, in the right position. He does so by doing all the little things right, not just by pounding people into submission. As an emissary of the Caps, I'd like to offer up Chris Bourque in exchange for Lidstrom. It's a great deal. He's named Bourque. You should take it.

If Lidstrom weren't 38, I'd jump on this bandwagon. I doubt Lidstrom will play much longer, but nobody can deny he's been the best defenseman in the NHL for many years.
