2 Thumbs down for 2nd draft day

Post by oafusp »

Horrible picks, those guys could have been picked up tomorrow as free agents.

Isacc Hilton was projected as a 3rd round pick by Sporting News...he was worth a 5th or 6th rounder.

I really dont get it!!!

booo!

there must be something that we dont know about hilton that the redskins and the rest of the NFl know. Although I just cant understand why were not drafting for need this late in the draft. The picks are mostly crap shoots anyway in the later rounds. Rather gam\ble in a place of need like dline
*emoticon of little yellow man mooning you*

A message to all Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys fans. (this comment was approved by jonc56)

Maybe we are drafting all of these tackles because we don't know what we are going to do with Samuels?

It is just crazy that Hilton hasn't been drafted yet, I am pulling my hair out here... his reports are glowing!

but he is 249 pounds - much to light to be ANYTHING but a pass rusher... and like it or not, we need a run stopping/pass rushing DE. Someone who gets 8 sacks and 65 tackles.

That is why Johnson, reportedly bad against the run (not my theory - just reports I read) and Hilton, who is a LB sized guy, didn't get drafted no matter how high they "rated".

Williams is building run stopping first. All he talked about in the press conference yesterday. He alluded to blitzes... but his main comments specifically addressed stopping the run.

I suppose Sala...whosit and some of the camp fodder and the NFLe guys must be better in the coaches eyes than we know - or they know about a couple of post June 1st guys they want and we don't know about...

And yes.... I know Johnson got drafted, but like 3 rounds later than projected... by a lot of people... read the scouting reports about his play versus the run and you might come to understand why Williams didn't fight for him like we might have thought....

That is all I can hope for...

With Griffin and Daniels I think we have enough run stoppers, I see us really needing a guy to create pressure on the pass.
