Kimbo Slice and EliteXC

Anyone watch the EliteXC fights on Saturday? I thought the chick fight was the best. The other fight where the one guy was poked in the eye was also good. My question is what did everyone think about Kimbo Slice. I first saw him a few years ago when he was street fighting so I was excited to see him fight on TV.

I was a little disappointed in his fight, because I felt that the other guy was setup to lose. Kimbo as "supposed" to win the fight to help launch the EliteXC off the ground. I think Kimbo has potential and hopefully dominates in his next fight. There is no doubt that when Kimbo connects with a punch, it does damage. as long as Kimbo stays on his feet, I believe he can fight with anybody.

side note: When Kimbo busted that dude in his cauliflower ear I was grossed out.

The girl fight was definitely the best of the night. The stopped fight would've been good too had they not called it.

Dudes cauliflower ear was disgusting. The guy seriously looked like he had a tomato stuck to the side of his head. Before the fight everyone I was watching it with was like "someone needs to pop that, that can't be healthy". Sure enough, Kimbo popped it. I always thought it they were filled with healing cartilage. Nope!

The guy was definitely set up to lose, but at the end he just stood there and took 3 or 4 shots to the head without lifting his hands up to defend. I believe the ref did his job to protect a fighter that couldn't defend himself. Unfortunately, it looked like they stole the fight and gave it to Kimbo.

Good hype for a rematch, at least!
