First it was linebacker Matt Sinclair stepping in front of a Todd Collins pass for an easy interception. Then it was cornerbacks Shawn Spring and John Eubanks who logged interceptions.

I hope he get on the field more and shows his tenacity.....

We need to develop a good understudy to Washington. I'm sure Sinclair among others will get a good look.

Zorn said he should be ready for camp. On the Skins website, the "practice cam" video showed both McIntosh and Rogers running some foot drills, so it appears their moving along with their recovery as expected.

i really hope rogers is ready for camp. I think it is very important for our defense to have quality depth at CB. Springs getting through the season without getting dinged is a long shot

Pre-season last year, he was a ball hawk, always around the ball and the play. He stuffed a runner at the 3 yrd line to prevent a TD. He looks strong and agile with cat-like reflexes.

Look at his thick skull and neck on the Skins website.... He's a buster!

Last I heard he was expected to start the season on PUP. Lets hope Springs can stay healthy for at least the 1st 1/2 of the season.

Two years ago McNabb had a simular injury to what Rogers had. Even though Mcnabb played last year he definately wasn't the same. I hear na interview with him where he said he is just now back to normal. A year and a half after the injury.

Rogers won't hit the year mark before mid-season. I would not expect much out of Carlos this year! He may play but he won't be full speed.

Carlos has a couple of advantages:
1) He's 4 yrs younger.
2) He carries 46# less weight.

It's debatable if Rogers is considered quality. I liked him when we had Rogers, Springs, Smoot, Taylor, Landry, but I think it was the whole secondary that made us so tough. I don't think Rogers is make or break in the secondary. He's quite inconsistant and drops a lot of INT.

While he hasn't played like a top ten pick, I think he's a solid starter.

I tore my ACL playing basketball on the same day Carlos Rogers tore his ACL so I take special interest to see how his recovery is going. What a miserable all around day that was to watch New England demolish the Redskins and Carlos get lost for the season and then blowing out my own knee later on. I did not have my surgery until December 12th because my doctor wanted to wait about six weeks after the injury for initial swelling to go down. It seems to me that Carlos had his surgery only about two weeks after the surgery so he has had a month more of recovery time. My doctor does not want me trying any running or intense exercise until after 6 months or mid-June in my case. He does not want me trying basketball again until mid-September. Now that I have experienced this injury, I have a lot more respect for pro athletes that come back from this injury and play at a high level again and more understanding for those who do not make it back to a high level again.

Tom Carter played better his first thre seasons than Rogers has and most people call Tom Carter a bust. And he played on worse teams!

TC's stats with the Skins:

All those stats show is Carter had more interceptions than Rogers had. That's because Carter couldn't cover, so people threw at him a heck of a lot.

Not saying Rogers is the greatest corner ever, but he played very well last year before he blew his knee out.

I think the SECONDARY played well, and I wouldn't isolate Rogers as performing up to his draft selection.

Yeah... the glaring missing stat is "Passes Defended". There is really no comparison. "Interceptions" does not speak to passes knocked down or not thrown...
