I agree: I love Landry's attitude.
None taken, I considered both not posting it or posting with a caveat because I was fairly certain of this reaction. C'est la vie. But it's too good a story to be left untold.
It was a good story

...and people read way too far into things. Way to miss the point people! It's basketball. I'm sure LaRon, being a professional athlete, knows how to take care of himself on the court. I agree...
And, to hell with the risk management office... they have no sense of proportion nor of humor, anyway!

Definitely have to love his attitude, though. Nobody ever succeeded at much of anything without the drive to be the best.
Exactly what SHOULD he be doing in the offseason to stay in shape? Dancercise?
I think Richard Simmons has some new programs

Basketball was originally invented as a winter sport to keep people in shape but most professional athletes have provisions in their contract that forbid certain dangerous activities... I think a few players have pickup basketball outlined...
Regardless, I don't think it's especially dangerous (though Aaron Boone lost the starting 3B job for the Yankees when he injured his knee in a basketball game.)

people...calm down...its basketball. there are far more dangerous things that could be going on with him, perhaps he's playing backyard football with no pads and he decides to cut and BOOM there goes his ACL, or he's playing croquet and his mallet gets away from him and strikes him in the nads, and he's out for the season due to a fractured testicle...whatever the case is, calm down, get off the kid's back...this is not matt turk who can't punt due to a sprained finger, this is an NFL safety with a toughness level of A LOT who will be just fine.
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.
