Roy Williams To Skins Heating Up?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Roy Williams To Skins Heating Up?

Post by CooleyAsIce »

http://gcobb.com/content/view/1371/46/

Mike Quick who is the analyst for the Eagles games with Merrill Reese says there will be news about Roy Williams before the week is out.

That means the Cowboys, Redskins or the Eagles will probably wind up with the receiver before the week is out.

Mike just finished doing a live interview in a webcast with G. Cobb and Steve Martorano from Infiniti of Westchester and he says the Birds will try to do something this week. They're in a bidding a war right now.,

Williams had more receptions than any Redskins wide receiver last season but if the price goes out of reason I'd let him go. There are plenty of tall wide receivers that will only cost one draft pick and rookie money.

we should make it happen. Roy is better than any wr in the draft and would be an INSTANT impast in the WC offense.

we want roy! we want roy!

He's 26 yrs old, in 4 seasons has 245 receptions for 3652 yds & 28 TD's. If we can get him without breaking the bank (in $ or picks), we should get him.

Has anyone from the Redskins said that they are bidding for him?

I mean for all we know, this could be some bs that came from Roys agent to get his value up for the Eagles.
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

I'd prefer Williams over CJ.

One little known fact, RW does not tip pizza guys.

Much prefer RW over CJ, but I wonder about RW's injury issues. That's the only issue with him, but it's kinda worrisome, esp. considering how injury prone Santana Moss is.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that among Chad Johnson, Anquan Boldin, and Roy Williams, Williams is the most likely to be traded Saturday.

Schefter believes Dallas is the most likely landing spot for Williams. Williams, who's in the final year of his rookie contract, played collegiately at Texas. Williams could cost the Cowboys first- and second-round picks.

Good. I really hope they take him and continue their "buy a Superbowl" mentality. It's always best to watch those teams collapse. (Except for the Redskins' few attempts at that, of course. :x)

I would like Williams on the Skins but not for a 1st and 2nd. Thats crazy. He has had quite a few injuries so thats concerning to me.

Did I miss out on what happened here or was this just another 'certainty' that never happened?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Is Roy Williams the Detroit reciever with the big mouth and lack of catching skills? That guy is hilarious. Talks like he is Jerry Rice, plays like he is Michael Westbrook.

I think it safe to say at this point that the Roy Williams to Skins talk is cooling down, to the extent that this thread has become fairly useless.

My 2 cents

Wasn't say Jerry was a talker, LPJ, was more saying that Williams considers himself to be elite despite not really showing it where it matters.
