They traded their 1st to Buffalo for a 2004 2nd round pick, 5th round pick, and a 2005 1st round pick. I think this is a stupid deal because they could have had Steven Jackson or Kevin Jones, both of who would have vastly improved their running game. I'm glad they were stupid enough to make this trade...

The Bills got Ramsey Jr. but they gave the Cowboys a 2nd and a 5th round pick, plus a 1st rounder for next season...

I wish we could make trades like that, like a 1st rounder for next year, a 5th rounder and Trotter for someone... :-(

Highway Robbery... Losman looked pretty average. Watch Dallas get SJ or KJ anyways.

I can't believe this. I didn't see this coming. I was convinced they were getting Jackson. I feel they made a big mistake. I went to a Cowboy message board and most of them are happy about this trade. It's still not over. Dallas may pull a deal off with New England's 32# overall.

Yeah so stupid........LOL....that was a brilliant move...We get an extra 2nd and 5th this year both high pics.......also we get there first next year. We will draft atleast 3 starters outta this draft this year. Parcells and Jerry Jones know how to wheel and deal and have assembleled a good draft team. Just because we dont give up our draft picks for 33 year old veterans dont be mad.

I agree, this was silly of Dallas.

Whether they get whoever is of no consequence... they had a shot at filling their biggest need with the best prospects available and they traded down. Sure they got good value, but they blew a chance to make their team better. They'll probably end up with a next level back and it might work out for them... but they didn't have to take the chance. Both Jackson and Jones would have looked crap (for a skins fan) in blue and white, and I can live with anyone else they might end up with. Jackson just went to the Rams. :-)

I spit up rye when the trade was announced... Another nice stroke in the draft day as far as I'm concerned.

No, the Cowboys can't get Jackson, but I still think that's a great trade for them. I think Losman is a LO-SER. I suspect the Bills, like the Giants, are really going to suffer the next several years. They gave up way, way too much for him.

and another one's gone!

Chris Perry is gone now, Kevin Jones still available, but I agree with BH, he could be going to the Titans, this is awesome! :D

It's not a bad move by Dallas. They must not have anyone they really wanted this year that they don't think they can get in the 2nd round. Maybe they've got some RBs all listed about the same and think they can get one in round 2. And now they have an extra pick in next year's 1st round. Not bad.

Buffalo gave up more -- a 2, 1 and 5 -- to get Lohsman than NYG gave up -- a 3, 1 and 5 -- to get Manning.

I don't knock what Dallas got... as i said, they got good value for their pick... but with the hooplah surrounding the RB sitch in Big D, I just can't see how a Kevin Jones wouldn't help. Hope he doesn't fall to them. They probably are looking at Cedric Cobbs with jones and greg jones still up there too.

And I totally agree that it was equally as stupid on Buffalo's part... I UNDERSTAND why Dallas took the loaded deal, I just think they blew an opportunity to help the 2004 team to help the 2005 team.

In the days of FA and parity, looking too far ahead id as bad as not looking ahead at all.
