Bengals' WR Henry is in trouble ... again!

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Bengals' WR Henry is in trouble ... again!

Post by SkinsJock »

Now I know that this incident is just "a reported incident", but, if this story is close to the facts as stated then I hope Henry never sees an NFL field again.

This team and the NFL need to keep players like this off the field.
Maybe soon the players will learn that the NFL will not tolerate players thinking that they can behave like this.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Henry is about to receive the "Pacman Jones" treatment. See you next season, dumbass.

What do you expect from the Bengals? (AKA Raiders east).

Props for the Bengals for the decision to cut him.

You know what and I think that I might get alot of negative attention here but I think that Marvin Lewis needs to accept some blame here. I mean the man can't keep ahold of a team together. Look how many Bengals have had trouble with the law the last few years. I know why Chad Johnson does not want to be there. And quite frankly I can't blame him.

Just because half of Cincy's roster has been arrested in the last year, don't blame Marvin Lewis. He managed to keep half of his team out of jail, which is more than can be said for Jerry Jones.

Grown men know how they should act. If they choose not to act in accordance with the law, they will get punished. The problem is when a thug with talent makes money, the thug thinks he can do whatever he wants. Toss him to the streets where he belongs.

It's completely insane to say a grown man isn't responsible for his actions. That is EXCATLY what's wrong with people now; not enough responsibility for one's own actions. Should my boss get blame b/c I go to jail? HELL NO. It was MY decision, MY consequences. What a hairbrained thought......

These aren't grown men. These are children in adult bodies, playing a child's game for an inflated salary. Grown men go home after work. It's called responsibility.

No, your boss shouldn't get the blame for your behavior, but if a lot of people in his organization are getting arrested, it is reasonable to question his hiring policies.

If they're getting ARRESTED AND CONVICTED, there's no additional policies that need to be put into place in addition to the STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS. Goodell will handle these yahoos and I hope he throws the book at 'em.

Let me be the first to start a race riot by pointing out that every NFL name recently mentioned in the same sentence with the context or connotation of anything criminal has been African-American.

Michael Vick
Antonio Pierce
Chris Henry
Kenny Wright
Pacman Jones

Go ahead. Accuse me of discrimination.
I do discriminate ... against ignorance and blatant stupidity. I'd just like an explanation as to why almost all of the NFL criminal minds seem to be African-American ... And I don't want the Al Sharpton explanation.

The fact they cut Henry probably means it's less likely they'll trade Chad, which is good news in my opinion. Don't want the guy.

Everybody refuses to "go there". And nobody like where this subject leads. I posted this here instead of in Smack with the hope there could be some intelligent conversation not related to the "because of race" but rather the "in spite of race".

Someone could have responded with something as simplified as "African-American NFL players outnumber non-African American football players, and therefore the odds of incidents involving African American players are greater." Or with "More African-American NFL players are single, and are therefore out in situations more likely to be a potentially criminal situation than a married player who goes home after work."

Statistics may or may not support the above. I haven't yet researched the numbers. But it is possible to discuss the issue without limiting the scope of the discussion to "it's because they are African-American", which would be false and inaccurate on all faces.

No responses have been forthcoming.

To take it that direction would make it off topic as well since the subject is Henry getting in trouble, not debating the socio-economic reasons behind the current 'off field' crime wave that may or may not have stricken the African-American possible majority of the NFL recently. I don't have, nor do I intend to have, all the research and statistics that would be relevant to have this debate, so I would be crucified (by some who believe that the internet and subsequent links from the internet) for not having post grad quality sources supporting my opinion.

Here's a one...

Your opening statement says you want to be the first to start a race riot, you're the first however like those before you, you'll learn that one man riots are doomed to fail when the opening salvo originates from a fan based message board... But I'll play along.

You then pointed out the fact that Michael Vick, Antonio Pierce, Chris Henry, Kenny Wright, and Pacman Jones are all in trouble and all the same race. Considering this site is centered around a NFL team I'm pretty sure this was already known by those that would come across this post and would not have much to add to it. :( I'm with them on that and can't think of anything that you've missed, other than Kevin Faulk having the same problem as Wright (he didn't run so you probably never heard of it... he volunteered to take a piss-test - passed - end of story).

Next you request someone to accuse you of discrimination, however you didn't give anyone a chance by stating "I do discriminate" you attempted to clean it up with the "against ignorance and blatant stupidity"

Ignorance and blatant stupidity is having your picture taken giving underage girls beer.

You say "Everybody refuses to "go there". And nobody like where this subject leads.", maybe your post has nothing in it to respond to, maybe you state a opinion on the subject instead of stating the obvious. Every riot needs a leader, you want to start one you'll need to have a veiw that people will buy into.

But this...

... sounds like you would like to have more facts on the subject but you're waiting on someone else to do the leg work.

If you want to start a riot do it elsewhere. This is the ATL forum and the topic of this thread is about Chris Henry

I am commenting on Chris Henry but I can't say what I really think of him and people like him outside of Smack. I'll leave it at this. Henry is dumber than dirt, deserves to be imprisoned under the 10-20-Life "Three Strikes" law since this is five strikes, and I hope I never have to hear about him again. He makes Pacman Jones look like a stand-up citizen.

No Race riots in the ATL forum. Got It.
