Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Redskins sign TE Pete Schmitt

Post by frankcal20 »

Just heard on XXX Radio that we picked this guy up. Will look for stats and a link.

I knew I remembered this guy from last year. Good to see him back. Click the link on the article from last year.

Not sure if he'll be tried at TE or FB. I seem to recall him lining up in the backfield last yr.

I don't remember at all. But, good to see us bring in another body. Something tells me we are going to bring in a lot of UFA after the draft.

I'm sure we will. The preseason limit is 80+. We now have 66 signed.

What if it was that kid Schmitt from WVU? Man, he's a beast. If Mike Sellers had a White brother, that would be him. Looks for people to hit. He's great. I love those kind of guys.

I like him too, except for the fac that he is very limited when catching the ball. But I love his toughness..

Here's a quote from the USAToday Inside Slant posted on THN Aug 13, 2007 .

http://www.the-hogs.net/forum/viewtopic. ... te+schmitt

It says

"Collins connected with fullback Pete Schmitt for 10 yards to put the ball on the 1 and set up Mason's winning plunge."
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

I feel like I remember him making a play. Now if he scored, do you think he would have made the team?

Glad to see Schmitty back....This is the kid that grew up in Wisconsin as a Redskins fan. There's a picture floating around on the internet with him in a Doug Williams jersey as a little boy. Good pick up!
