NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting that the 49ers will part ways with WR Darrell Jackson.
After adding Isaac Bruce and Bryant Johnson, the team no longer needed the disappointing Jackson. It's doubtful that Jackson will ever repeat his pre-2005 numbers, but he will draw interest from teams with a West Coast offense. Likely destinations include the Eagles, Redskins, Bucs, and Vikings.
If he's healthy, he'd be a decent pick-up, but I don't think he's gonna be healthy.
He'll be 30 in December and that's a concern. Although he didn't play a lot last year, he caught 46 passes for 497 yards and 3 TDs. He's only 6 ft tall and wouldn't give us that tall WR we need.
