Why I don't like our chances

Post by HitDoctor »

1) I'll be at the game and the skins are under .500 when I'm present in philly.

2) philly needs this game more than we do so they will be stoked.

3) This organization, especially Donovan, will be out to prove Rush wrong, even though its not necessary. Donovan already has his biggest games against us.

I HOPE I'M WRONG ON ALL ACCOUNTS!!!!!
it is what it is

This game is huge for us, can you remember the last time we were 4-1 and leading the East. If we can take 2 out of the next 3 games going into the bye week. Just think of how good they will be feeling, bye the way, this is a divisional game, so it means even that much more for us, plus we are already 0-1 in the division games, we can't be 0-2.
Just my 2 cents.

I agree doe - I think that is why it will be a bigger game for us than BH thinks - the Skins know they will be in the basement tiebreaker wise if we lose to the Beagles today

WTF... bigger than monumental? I don't think so. It's not like our season is over if we lose IN Philly. Saying it's a bigger game for them than us hardly belittles it's importance. It IS more important for them... they'll be 3 games back if they lose. We could lose EVERY division away game and still be 13-3. hardly catastrophic... not that we will, but this MUST win stuff 4 games in drives me nuts.

It'd be great to win... it'd make our division that much easier to win... the sky won't fall if we don't.

Everybody knows this is an away game right? In tough divisions... you try to win all your home games and hope you can squeak out maybe one other on the road... finish 4-2 in your division with a 10-6 or 11-5 record and you're going to the playoffs. we lost to NYG at home though so we do ahve to make one up, but even 3-3 in your div with a 10-6 record should get it done.

So this game is big... but it sure ain't do or die.

I agree boss, the season isn't over if we lose, but we already lost one of those home games against the division, and got are a** handed to us the last couple of times against philthadelphia. Not saying must win, but very huge momentum builder, and the way are division is this year, it is very important to get as many division wins as we can, just think how bad philly fan will be if they lose again @ home. Possible riot in the streets of Philly, I love it !!!

3 keys to the game.

1. Controlling the line of scrimmage and containing McNobb (is that 2?)
2. No turnovers - and at least 2 takeaways
3. Keeping the penalties low

Hell, we would win every week if we could do this. Now is a good week to start.

I also agree with BH - HitDoctor if you were a true fan then STAY HOME!!!

My only key to the game...

DON'T LET MCNABB BEAT US.

I think the Beagles will struggle in other match-ups and I don't think they're defense will be able to stop us from putting some points on the board... not with that banged up secondary.

If we can get penalties down to 6 then we're making real progress and I'll be happy. I expect to see a few holds inside as the o-line try to contend with Hollis'.

Well, I didn't stay home #-o but I don't think that would have made a difference. I'll give my opinions in the post "observations from row 14". Remember, they're just opinions.

Is there a Doctor in the House?

It was tough watching the game on TV, it must have been brutal surrounded by Beagle fans.

YES!!!! I thought I out grew these emotions, but no. I really am more upbeat after a win. To have to listen to weak philly sports talk radio on the way to work this morning was painful.

Philly can't be that pumped after that win. They didn't look that much better that we did - we just spotted them 14 pts.

I know BH - A win is a win is a win.

I'm grasping at straws here.

Nobody should ever listen to sports talk radio, especially in Philly. It's scientifically proven to kill brain cells faster than beer.
