Redskins head trainer Bubba Tyer revealed that Rocky McIntosh did not tear both his MCL and ACL in Week 15 of last season.
Only the anterior cruciate ligament was torn, reducing McIntosh's recovery time substantially. The team now expects him to be ready for training camp.
Redskins CB Carlos Rogers (torn MCL, ACL) is not expected to be available for Week 1.
Rogers' rehab took a positive turn recently, but the 'Skins may still consider placing him on PUP to start 2008. There's little doubt that Shawn Springs will be retained now. Springs and Fred Smoot figure to start on opening day.

I didn't think Rogers would be back before week 2 or 3 anyway, considering when he got hurt during the year. Wasn't it the Pats game? Rocky's news is very good.
