Ex-Prosecutors Question Handling of Spying Case By GREG BISHOP and MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT PHOENIX — When the N.F.L. investigated spying charges against the New England Patriots, it asked for evidence gathered by the New England Patriots.
When the N.F.L. demanded the Patriots send all material that violated league rules to the commissioner’s office, it allowed the team to select the material.
So when N.F.L. Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed questions about the league’s handling of the spying case Friday at a news conference, his responses left former prosecutors with lingering questions.
“Generally speaking, an investigator would not leave it up to the subject of the investigation to voluntarily select what evidence it wishes to turn over,” said Mathew Rosengart, a former federal prosecutor who helped investigate a cabinet member in the Clinton administration. “Allowing the subject of an investigation to determine what is incriminating can obviously undermine the integrity and credibility of the investigation.”
It is almost like all those baseball records obtained with the assistance of steroids.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
Yeah, it is a joke. And to think that a team would go so low as to cheating to accomplish their goals. I have been saying before this even came out like after their 1st, 2nd superbowl that their is something smelly about this and I did say that I think they are cheating

Oh common. The Giants won fair and square and the NFL did not have anything to do with this outcome. Finally Billicheat got his a** kicked and walked off the field like a coward with his tail tucked between his legs as he walked to the locker room as there was one second left in the game to play. This could be the downfall to the Patriots. All I got to say about the Patriots CHEATERS!!!!!!!
This is the most ridiculous waste of taxpayer money I've ever seen. With all that is going on in the world you can't tell me that Arlen Spector doesn't have something more important to worry about!
