HB III - Conference Championship Round
Congratulations to Divisional Round winners. In the HHC, the road teams were unopposed, and in the DHC the "over" was the wise choice.
It's time to see who's going to play in the Hognosti-Bowl. This week we have:
REDEEMEDSKIN at SkinsJock in the HHC Championship game
and
JSPB22 at Mursilis in the DHC Championship game.
The games are:
Giants at Packers
Chargers at Patriots
TRO and I have until Noon, Thursday to get our picks in.
Does TRO outlasting RiC, albeit by forfeit, have any sig line ramifications?

The fact that we have had no shows does not take away the merit to have arrived to th THN playoffs and it cannot be held as a detriment against those who, at no fault of their own, have not had face much of an opposition -yet-.
The next two rounds should be interesting. Good luck to all.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Not sure what the rules are here but I have the "home field" advantage and nobody showed

GIANTS at PACKERS = PACKERS
CHARGERS at PATRIOTS = PATRIOTS
total points = 86
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Crap!
I promise you all I did NOT see anyone else's picks. If I'm DQd for lateness, so be it.
Here are my picks:
Giants
Patriots
Total points 62
Back and better than ever!
Me either. I'm on pain medication and I fell asleep.REDEEMEDSKIN wrote:JSPB22 wrote:Giants at Packers

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
No you're not disqualified, but SkinsJock can change his picks accordingly, if he wishes.
As for me:
Packers
Patsies
92

No worries TRO - I was just stirring the pot

I was pretty sure that the Commish. (JSPB) was going to make a ruling like this - the only change I might have made would have involved the tie-breaker but as we have selected different teams that is not a factor.
all the best guys - actually I'm hoping the Chargers can beat the pats - would love to see those guys go down in one of these 2 games.

Hmmm... I'm going to have to go with the home teams as well (Packers and Pats, although I'd love to see the Bolts beat the Evil Empire), so it's going to come down to points. Tough call . . . but I think I'll have to take the over on your 92. NE is usually worth at least 30+ points by themselves, so figuring the other three teams average 21, that's 93. I'll go with that.
Interesting analysis - I wanted to wait until after you picked to say that there is also some bad blood between these 2 teams and I could easily see Brady and Belicheat running up the score if they can
As you guys may know, I live up here and the weather is going to be very cold and could be very windy. The wind chill is going to be really low.
Looking forward to seeing some great football in 2 very cold stadiums.

I tried to set the line high enough, that you would be tempted to take the under. Oh well, maybe the snow in GB will keep the score down this week.

I teased TRO with the line as well - I think it is going to be difficult to put up big scores in both games this weekend - I know that both teams would like to score a lot of points but with the weather that is evident I think the teams are going to be more concerned with playing to win than scoring.
I know that the pats would love to take out the Chargers with a big score but they really just want to get to the dance.
the giants are just not going to be able to score many points against the Packers secondary and in that weather.
