Welcome Darnerien
It is indeed an honor to welcome you to the site sir!
There are some of your most loyal fans on this message board and we are proud to have you stop by and say hello. I know that players have a ton of obligations and it speaks to your great character that you would keep your word and pop by the site. Jake was pretty excited that you might, and he and his mother are probably two of your biggest fans.
I started this thread and stuck it to the top of the board in hopes that if a few people posted some questions here that maybe you could answer a few of them. I will leave it at the top of the board in hopes that you can find the time to perhaps answer a few of them.
My name is Mark and I am the webmaster of the site, as such I feel obligated to thank you profusely for stopping by. I have spoken to Melanie Pierce about you on numerous occasions and I hope that perhaps we can have a phone conversation for a semi-formal interview. You can reach me at BossHog@thehogs.net.
Thanks again for stopping by Darnerien.

Welcome aboard Darnerian! Glad to have ya stop by and chat!
What is the main differences you see between coaching from this year to years past? Is Gibbs that magical? We hear about it - but you have seen it... what's your take?

Hey, Darnerian!
Very cool of you to stop by here. We're all ECSTATIC that you've stayed in Washington, especially those of us who remember the FIRST reign of Joe Gibbs, cuz you would've fit in perfectly with that group of receivers.
Don't really have a question per se, but a request:
I want to see you do your touchdown pose in Texas Stadium this year. I know you haven't been a Redskin for too long, but it's been WAYYY too long since we've beaten them on their home turf.
Looking forward to watching you this year, man!!

Welcome! I love your work ethic on and off the field with your play and your dedication to the art world. Do you feel there's a coorelation between your works of art and how you perform on the field? They are two different spectrums physically but I'm sure mentally you can draw inspiration to help both crafts. I'm very proud to have you on this team. Your heart and dedication remind me of a lot of the old school players. Keep up the great work!!!

Hey Darnerien....It's me...Terri from Edgewater....(as George Michael calls me)(AKA Jake's mom)....Welcome to the site....so glad you re-signed with us - I was really upset when the Ravens were talking about signing you but I knew you'd come back to us. See you at training camp....we may not sing Happy Birthday this year because of you getting hurt last year....could have been our fault.
Hip Hip Hooray!!!

welcome dmac it,s a great pleasure to see that you have entered the best site on the web.the only thing i have to say to you is that i,m very glad to see ya return to the redskins and have a chance to play for the one and only joe gibbs himself. you are about to witness something special with this man not only from a coaching standpoint but more importantly as a person. so what kind of impact has he played on your mindset from the moment you have met him personally.thanks again and have a great season this year and to the yearsafter next.

Welcome! I hope you are as excited as we are about the upcoming season. Just wondering what changes you noticed after the minicamp? Is it a totally different universe with Gibbs at the helm?
One more question and I'll let someone else have a turn. How does the quarterback situation effect yourself and other WR's? Will the tandem of WR's depend upon the QB?
Thank you for stopping by, you are truely a class act to give time to your fans!
YOU ROCK!

Good to see you back in Burgandy and Gold. Looking forward to seeing you catch even more TD's this year. We here on this board were pulling for you to come back this year and couldn't have been happier when you signed. We are loaded at WR this year with LC, Rod, Thrash, Taylor and yourself (not too mention Scott CLoman, who I thought did an excellent job in camp last year). I think in that group as it stands, you are coming in slated to be the number 3 guy. What are you doing in the off-season to make a push your way up the depth chart?
On a side note, gotta give you some props ...... Viveca Fox ........ YOU DA MAN!!

Great to see you on the hogs website Darnerian! I am thrilled you resigned with the Skins! What do you think about getting Clinton Portis to compliment the offense? I hope to see you on the website giving us the latest scoop on the Redskins! Do you have any opinions about who the Redskins should draft with the 5th pick?

Welcome DMAC. It os good to have A true Redskin on board. By the way. I believe that we will have the best receiving core in the league. And for can you tell me, is there anything specific you did in your workout to make you a great WR in the NFL?

I agree with this. I live in Dallas, and will be sporting your jersey in Texas Stadium on December 26th. Make us proud #85!! By the way, how do the Art Monk comparisons from Gibbs make you feel?
oops....sorry!

Welcome back D-Mac..i wish you much success with the skinz homey..Hopefully my boy Scott Cloman will be joinin you and the others at wideout this year(how do you think he's coming along) Keep up the good work D-Mac..
2005: Skins make the playoffs...Redskins fan in OAKLAND...yup, Anything Can Happen..
Darnerien,
Congrats on your new contract. Hopefully in a few years you will re-up again with the Skins.
You will be a "core" Redskin that Gibbs is preaching about. Keep it up.
2 Questions:
1. Give us the background of your name. (Ironic Spurrier couldn't pronounce it, but I am sure you've moved on from that
2a. In the 80's the Skins had the Posse with Clark, Monk, and Sanders. Have you, Coles, Gardner come up with anything yet?
2b. How does it feel to have the chance to be part of a talented WR's corps under Joe Gibbs after growing up and watching The Posse?
Also man...sup from Lipton
Thanks man,
Good luck this season

I'll throw my 2-cents in here. Welcome D-Mac. Although I attended the University of Delaware and I'm a big Blue Hen fan, I had the honor of watching you play downstate with the Hornets. I thought you were somethin' special then and I was really happy when you signed with the Redskins. I think you're one of the best Red-Zone receivers around (with your physical play) and I look forward to great things from you in the future.
Have a lot of fun this year under Gibbs. He and his staff will make you an even better player if you let them!

Wow, Im not going to add to the questions.
I just want to welcome you and thank you for taking some time out to visit, its greatly appreciated. I know I can speak for everyone hear by saying that we are blessed to have you as a RedSkin. Gibbs speaks of how he likes players with great character, you certainly fit that mold.

Would also like to extend my congratulations on your season. Seemed like last year, you had the midas touch...anytime the rock landed in your hands, you landed us in the end zone. Keep up the good work, as we all here are #85 supporters who can smell a Redskin a mile a way. Good luck this year...hopefully you can slip into that #2, #3 slot somewhere.
