Well, it does now appear they will bring in a few guys for interviews. My theory is they'll interview some candidates, then announce Williams, saying after several interviews, GW is just the best man for the job.
If in fact that's what they intend to do, I hope they've conveyed that to Gregg to some degree so he won't get pissed off. Gibbs and Snyder spent many hours discussing Joe's retirement and the direction the team should take. I just can't imagine Gibbs would tell Dan to look elsewhere for a HC, in effect, starting over again. As soon as Gibbs announced his return four years ago, Williams was the first person Joe pursued. And we definitely heard Dan say at the press conference that they are happy with what they have and realize the importance of continuity.
On another note, even though the vast majority of Skins fans were thrilled with the return of Gibbs and the turnaround and direction he's given the team, I believe many, including myself, became somewhat irritated with his ball control, conservative offensive approach. If in fact Al stays on as the OC, we may very well see this offense open up, quite a bit, in fact. Something I'm anticipating and am looking forward to.
I always hated it when they got inside the red zone, Joe would just put them in a bunch formation and try to pound the ball into the endzone, failing much of the time. It is a different game nowadays. 1st and goal? Spread them out and throw a skinny post to

ey and be done with it.
I'm sad the see Gibbs go, but intrigued at the potential of a more attacking offense Saunders is known for.
