I can't imagine the Seattle coaches are having a hard time convincing the players right now to take us seriously. You never want to play a team that's hot or on a crusade and we're both. Our best beats their best even with our depleted ranks wherever we play, and we appear to be a team ready to play it's best. But now we have to deliver on that.

I know all the good games are over before these guys get out of bed, but they may want research our team a bit more. In the same segment as above they had us playing the hardest schedule in the NFL. Not based on teams final records, but what the opponnets records were at the time we played them.
I was impressed to see earlier that we finished the year with the highest opponent W/L % in the league at .555. (gbnreport.com) great site for draft info btw. they have us taking another Miami guy, Calais Campbell, in their current early projection.
The Seahawks had the lowest opponent W/L % in the league at .414 because they play the Rams, Cards, and 49ers twice each. They played only 2 playoff teams all year (Pittsburgh, Tampa), the most recent being the Steelers who destroyed them way back in October, 21-0.
Their fan site doesn't sound like a place to bother to visit.
Here is a link to the Sagarin Ratings, IMO the best power rankings available. It also breaks down the schedule strength and divisions by the power rankings of their teams.

Did anybody read that breakdown that the Skins played the second toughest schedule in the NFL this season (based on W-L records of their opponents)?
Skins' opponents' winning % - 55%; Chawks' is - 41%
Winning % of the teams the Skins beat - 48%; Chawks - 38%
Skins' rushing D (yard/carry) is the best of teams in teams in the playoffs.
Skins' rushing D (yards/game) second only to Pburge (and they have been ran on renlentlessly since they lost their nose tackle)
Skins' rushing D didn't give up any +40 yard runs and only 2 +20 yard runs (NFL Best)
Last two weeks CP has ran on the Vikes and the Cowturds.
Only 4 teams have given up more rushing TDs than the Chawks!
Only 10 teams gave up more runs of +20 yards (12) than the Chawks.
Only 5 teams gave up more runs of + 40 yards (3) than the Chawks.
The Chawks were in the bottom third of the NFL in pass defense (yards/game)
Only 7 teams gave up more + 20 yard passing plays (47) than the Chawks.
Only 8 teams gave up more + 40 yard passing plays (8 ) than the Chawks.

Don't try to cover up how bad we are with statistics. You will only confuse them.

Cards-Eagles-Vikes are two teams there forgetting.
i don't think these teams technically have a winning season. it's just that they didn't have a losing season.

After reading a few threads there, I was even more disturbed to see that no one attacked the poster who wrote that, even worse most of them just piled on with more garbage.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

Me too, I kept on reading, waiting to find at least one poster that had anything intelligent to say, but it was all like the smack forum had exploded, splattering all over their site. And not one person defended Sean; not even the Skins fans.

Thanks tazlah - I like the karma - they have their "12" deal and we know #21 will be there

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Don't get mad fellaz, its totally cool that they think we aren't good. So did the fans of Chicago, Minn., NY, and dallas.. look at those results. It's a funny thing being a favored team or an underdog when it comes to the Redskins. Always seemed to me like we choked when we were favored to win and vice versa (except for the Pats game but Pats games don't exist to anyone who play them).
As for the ST comments, they say ignorance is bliss so I guess they are the "blissed" of them all. Too bad this isn't in the smack section, I'd have a couple of words for them but since its not, we'll let our guys show them bammaz who's the real deal come Saturday.
Go Skins, Crush The SheHawks !!!!!!!

I'm listening to the sportsradio station here in Seattle. Currently, Dave "Softy" Mahler (take a look at the link to see how he got this nickname) is on the air live from SeaChickens practice.
He's pretty worked up about Mike Sellers' comments regarding piped-in sound...seems pretty lame to me that you'd need something like this to get up for a playoff game...
He also made a comment earlier about being "sick and tired of hearing about Sean Taylor", and even compared it to the incessant hype prior to the SB in 2006 surrounding Jerome Bettis being from Detroit....
I expect the SeaChickens hometown station to be partisan, but this takes it too far in my opinion. I've posted the link to his show below, and will try to call in later. Feel free to leave a comment for "Softy" regerding his ridiculous comments...

Edit: I wrote "Softy" about this, and he actually got right back to me during a commercial break, even though he's still in the middle of his show. His email address is davemahler@clearchannel.com if anyone's interested. Thanks also to the person who fixed the link above.

Hello Skins fans. Seahawk fan here, just checking in.
I have to say, it sounds like we're getting raked over the coals pretty good here as a fan base. I hope you all don't lump us all together, as in one (or a couple) bad apples spoil the whole bunch. We're not all bad. (or at least I don't think we're all bad).
Yeah, as someone stated here, the sports radio and the papers are doing a pretty good job of broadcasting Sellers comments over and over again. I don't think it'll make too much of a difference, as it's typically pretty loud in there anyway.
Well just wanted to check in, say hello, wish you health, and a good game.
Anyone be going to the game?

I'll be there, Maltz. Thanks for providing a small voice of reason.
I've always been amazed that the most vocal, in-your-face fans seem to support teams ( Seattle, Philly) that have never won anything....

Oh, I think you'll probably see different on Saturday.
I've been a ticket holder since 99', and overall it seems that most of the fans at the games are pretty easy going. They scream their heads off, and give some good natured ribbing. But from what I've seen it seems that visiting fans usually get treated pretty well in Seattle.
Of course like anything, there are A-holes that take it too far. So hopefully, you don't draw the short straw and sit next to them.

In general, I think you're right. I live in Seattle, and was at the 2005 game as well. Most of the fans were decent, but a couple of knuckleheads were seated right behind us, but even they were more annoying than threatening.
Where are your seats, Maltz?? I'll be in Section 109, row E.
