Judges ruling

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Well, that makes our pick a little more valuable doesn't it?

I hope that these poor guys aren't ineligable for the next college football season too... I don't care about Claurett but Mike Williams is a stand up guy, :)

I almost feel bad for Williams. He didn't push to come out early, a judge said underclassmen must be allowed, the NFL said ok, declare by this date, he did.

He was almost forced to hire an agent after declaring. Look at the type of additional money Rosenhaus scored for McGahee. That's the systems fault.

I don't even blame him for not attending classes. The purpose of college for most is to get a better job. He was going to get a job paying him millions. I wouldn't attend class either if shaving .05 seconds of my forty was possibly going to make the difference in millions.

I just don't see what he's done wrong.
This space reserved for BTP......If he ever wins it.

thank the judges for saving the game we all love, because if they started letting kids play a mans sport it would ruin it-just look at what has happened to the NBA. the players are all about themselves these days. basic skills such as the jump shot have given way to the slam dunk which is ok but not every play.skills have gone downhill in the past 10 years.my main point being the NBA is watered down is that what you want for the only real sport left.REDSKINZ4EVER!!!

i totally agree, somebody needed to put a stop to this. i LOVE college and profootball and i would hate to see them end up going down the same path as college B-ball and the NBA. man, i couldn't care less if a high school kid is complaining that he has to wait 3 years to go pro...cry me a river. go to school and get better and go when you're ready. the biggest problem comes from moron GM's that draft on talent and not on ability. i guess this rule will make the draft a little more idiot proof....a little more

Williams didn't buck the system he was willing to go back to USC for another years because that was the rule...but the rule changed and he had a LOT of people saying "you need to declare for the draft" & " you need to get a agent" so he did

Now he is going to lose a bunch of money

And NO ONE is going to say "Go back to school hit the books for a years, get your degree early and enter the draft next year with a future after football"

The only problem I have with this is, there are NBA players who went to college for a 4 year degree and play worse and slam dunk worse than lets say...... Lebron James.

word has it that they (Williams & Clarett) will be eligible for a supplemental draft

Greeney suggested on Mike & Mike this morning that it was possible that the cards would take a QB early and draft Williams in the supplemental draft and sacrafice next year's #1 to improve their offense tremendously right away
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

#21 gone, but never forgotten.

redskincity there some nba players(labron james kobe bryant)both right out of high school- that can play but overall the nba is no where near where it used to be with lets say larry bird, magic johnson, some guy named micheal jordan, and alot more but my point isn' really about the nba its about not ruining a sport with people who are not ready mentally or physcially for a mans game.REDSKINZ4EVER!!!!

......and it would be if they marketed that way  Players today are constantly breaking records of the "Greats" of the past.

Redskin4ver, your views are subective. I think that the game is better today because basketball and football players are better atheletes today than they were yesteryear. Who past or present can you compare Lebron to?

As for football it is a mans sport. Society says that once you hit the age of 18 you are considered a "Man." Football players today are more atheletic than players 20 years ago.

To me Football is entertainment. These guys are at a legal age to be in the entertainment business. As for being mentally ready I think that depends on the player not the game.
