Bill's Everett To Attend Game vs. Giants

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Bill's Everett To Attend Game vs. Giants

Post by The Hogster »

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3162433

Bills players sounded overjoyed at the prospect of seeing their teammate who was initially paralyzed from the neck down while attempting to tackle Domenik Hixon during a kickoff return in the Bills' season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 9.

"It's giving me chills just being asked about it," punter Brian Moorman told the paper. "I can't imagine what it would be like on game day. I imagine there wouldn't be a dry eye in the house. It would be great to see him, if it works out. If he's not ready, then obviously we don't want him to push himself. But obviously everybody in this locker room would love to see him. He's an inspiration to us all."

Hopefully this inspires them to beat the NY Giants. If we win out, and the Giants lose out, then we would be in the playoffs, without the Giants making it at all. That's pretty sweet. Oh, and the Giants play the Pats he next week.

Go Everett! Go Bills!

Your darn skippy- its a win, win situation. Its a remarkable story of determination and will ( not to sound corny) that everybody can appreciate and hopefully it rallies the bills to beat the g-strings. Quick off the thread question- if the g-strings lose out- and we win out and new orleans win out- do we still get in( do we own the tie-break over NY)???

Yes, under your scenario, The Skins and the Saints get in. Skins are 6th seed and Saints would be the 5th.

If the Giants lose out, and the Saints lose 1, then we go to the 5th seed.

Of course, we need to win out for any of this to matter...but just remember, this weekend, we are all Bills fans, and for once we must all home the E-gals win a game.

We will know the magnitude of the game since they will be over by the time we play.

Since we would be division opponents with the same overall record...you go to record in head to head games. We're even there. Then, go to record within the division. We would have identical inter-division records.....so next step is to determine who has the best record in common games where we would own the tie-breaker.

We'd be even in division with 3-3 records. Outside the division we've played the following teams in common - (Fins, Pats, Packers, Lions, Chicago, NY Jets, & Vikes)

We have identical records against each of those teams except Minnesota. Since the Giants have already lost to the Vikes, and we'd need to beat them for this to apply....we take the tiebreaker over the Giants with a W over the Vikes.

It would come down to the 3rd tiebreaker, but we'd have it with a 5-2 record in common games..while the Giants would have a 4-3 record in common games.

I HATE SPECULATING, BUT when you have a shot, I just can't help but take a peek to see what games I need to watch with a ton of beer.

Unless the Vikes lose their finale, and the Saints lose either of their final games, then the G-strings and the Skins make it, with us in the 5th seed and them in the 6th.

It was great to see Everett doing well and walking!
Wouldn't it have been something if he was able to walk out on the field?!!?
That would've been great, but visiting the team aint so bad either.

And able to walk. His condition was far worse than mine was. But I know how painful a spinal injury can be. Great win last night by the way.
