Profootballcentral reports...

Post by verm04 »

Phil Genals of Profantasysports.com (on the show)report thta the raiders skins trade of samuals and 5 for #2 may still happen.. and that we did talk to san deigo about the same trade. But they wanted ramsey for breese and we told them that was too much

I dunno though this seems.. stupid. i'de rather beleive John Clayton who said the talks wasnt really about trading for the #1.

This is BS there is no way the Skins would trade Samuels! The cap hit would just be too big! It does not make sense! I will take the word of Mel Kiper over this Phil General guy! Mel said that we where going to take Sean Taylor! Mel Kiper has a lot more credentials then this Phil General guy!!

I know it wasn't intentional, but instead of saying profootballweekly "reports"... could we say "speculates". Because that is what they are doing.

BTW, I would do this trade if it was the 5th ROUNDER. Trading Samuels for 3 spots up is retarded

I don't beleive the Skins should trade there pick to anyone to move up. They would be smart, in my book, and draft Taylor. I know Samuels and the Skin are having contract problems but why trade a proven LT to draft an unproven LT. That would be like the Falcons trading Vicks to draft Eli. It just doesn't make sense. I think Samuels will have a turn around year this year and be back in the pro-bowl.

I agree with SoCal. There is no scenario, no player good enough and no Redskins need big enough to warrant any trade up from #5.

Now if they get a good offer to trade down and still adequately address the D-line or safety position, then that's still in play.

This just in - The Raiders have completed a trade with the Redskins. The Raiders get Samuels, Gardner, Ramsey and the 5th pick in exchange for the Raiders 2nd overall, the Raiders second round pick and all of the Raiderettes. Hey, I can pull fake trades outta my ..... too. :0)
