He also had a running game in the earlier part of the year. Lately, with the notable exception of the Jets game, it was "Campbell, go do everything for this offense. Thanks!" How many young QBs are going to thrive in Dallas or in Tampa Bay, when everyone knows they're throwing the ball? He put up 300 yards or more in both games....but threw killer interceptions. It happens...especially against good defenses and good corners. And especially with young quarterbacks who have to shoulder the burden of an offense completely on themselves.
All we know about Collins is he positively shredded the Bears for a half of football. We also saw things in that game:
1. Short field following turnovers. How many times did JC have the ball on the 20 following a turnover?
2. No stupid mistakes like penalties or dropped passes.
3. Better playcalling. It wasn't run-run-pass...
Could all of those have contributed? Maybe?
