Patriots refused to wear 21 on helmets?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Patriots refused to wear 21 on helmets?

Post by Bob 0119 »

This may be an unsubstantiated rumor, but I wasn't really paying much attention.

Someone told me that the Patriots didn't have the 21 sticker on their helmets. They had 91, but not 21?

Did anyone else notice this?

I'm thinking it might have been a one week thing that the league did last week, but I really didn't pay much attention yesterday to any of the teams, to see if they were wearing them.

I hate the Patriots enough as it is, so it wouldn't surprise me if they snubbed Sean.

No they didn't have the 21 on their helmets and yep, they had 91. From what I think I heard on the radio, last weekend the league made it mandatory for all teams to display the 21 but for the rest of the season it was optional. Does anyone know if this was correct?

I know several players from other teams were wearing the 21 on their helmets but not all players.

I believe the ones that care the most are the ones choosing to continue to wear 21.

As long as the Skins continue to wear their patches, it's all good for me. Thanks, though, to all who support/ed the team following the loss of Sean.

Some teams wore them, some teams didn't. That's not unusual. If I recall correctly, the NFL only wore the Pat Tillman stickers for one week.

The Steelers had them, but most of the other teams I saw did not.

The Patriots all had 91 stickers.

The Patriots all had 91 stickers.

During the Ravens game they all had both. The League required all teams to have the 21 on the helmet last week. After that it was purely voluntary.

Im pretty sure I saw it on a Pats halmet. I know I did. And I know it was this week. I remember seeing it this week. I can't tell you who's helmet though. But my wife commented about and we were talking about it during the game, that how I remember it.

But, I saw it on someones helmet for the Pats this week for sure.
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

Neither the Pats nor the Giants wore them this week. Pats have a 91 and the Steelers were wearing 21.

Guys, I hate the Patriots which is well documented here.

But, they lost a player of there own which is why they wore the other number.

I seen Moss wearing number 21 on his helmet. Also one of the D lineman was wearing it as well.
