Hatton vrs Mayweather
So any of you watching this fight and if so what do you think? Mayweather is amazing but the Hitman is a furious puncher who will fight till he drops. Any hope for the Brit

Hatton will get sat down in my opinion. Hatton is an agressive fighter who really likes to pack on the pressure, but just look at Mayweathers fight against Arturo Gatti. Gatti is another pressure/power fighter but mayweather's counter ability and speed was just too much for him. Mayweather is a huge prick but you gotta give respect where its due, the man is a phenomonal boxer.
I love Ricky Hatton, but he kinda called Mayweather out. He started the trashtalk when after knocking out a washed up Jose Louis Castillo with a body shot, he said to the fans "There was more action in this fight than in Floyd Mayweather's entire career..."
So although I know Floyd got on Hitman's last nerve during the promotion of this fight, Ricky got what he asked for... a fight with the P4P. All the trash talk is part of the experience.
As far as the fight goes, nobody relishes the big fight than Floyd and although he talks a whole lot, he is never ill-prepared and there's probably no fighter around that figures out his opponent as quickly and controls a fight as well.
Hatton is a holder/hitter. He'll throw a shot or two and then grab... Floyd knows all the tactics and is no stranger to questionable tactics himself. I think in the end it comes down to pure experience.
Ricky Hatton has never seen anything in the realm of a Floyd Mayweather and for the record, he got roasted by Luis Collazo but somehow got the nod from the judges. Collazo was down in the first round but had to win 8 of the 12 rounds and had Hatton confused and discouraged in the late rounds. Floyd Mayweather has been fighting big fights and only big fights for years now and beat Castillo twice when Castillo was in his prime. Too much experience, quickness, and fight game from Pretty Boy. If Hatton doesn't catch Floyd with one of those bombs, Floyd should control it for the duration and get a comfortable win.

Floyd assassinates the Hitman in 10 rounds.
Weapon used: Left Hook
Synopsis: The usual. Took Floyd about 5 rounds to master Hatton. After that, it was all Mayweather. Beautifully dominant finish - the champ remains perfect.
Lesson to the Brits: Boo our national anthem; your champ gets knocked out. And we dare you to try any of that drunk Brit soccer-riot crap. Now get out, and be more respectful next time.

But there is but only 3 guys left for Mayweather to fight.
Williams the 6-5 boxer who bear Magarito
Manny Pacuio if his willing to move his weight up to 145.
and last but not least The Puertorican superstar Miguel Cotto who is really the strongest best pound to pund fighter in the welter weight.
Cotto can beat Mayweather maybe not by KO but by decesion since his strength and improved D can give him a big edge not to mention his not slow.

i donno i dont think cotto has teh speed to fight mayweather, Hatton in my books did not look like a c- figher and i thought there were some questionable calls by the referee, THE UNDERCARD BLEW, terrible fights. The main event was really good though what i expected. Paul williams presents a big big challenge for anyone he's tall and a southpaw, but people are gonna avoid him BIG TIME, no one wants to fight that typa fighter. I think who ever mayweather fights next it will be a great fight, id love to see him fight cotto or better yet williams. Cotto is a big man and in my opinion bigger and stronger than Hatton, would provide a real test to Mayweather.
And theres my boxing rant...

I never liked Mayweather, but after the Brits in attendance booed the U.S. national anthem, I hope he tears Hatton apart.
It is the same hateful trait that chav's throughout the UK do at soccer matches too! I am from the UK and I hate this disgusting disrespect for anthems, especially to the anthem of a friend and ally. I pray one day these morons become extinct. Apologies on behalf of the vast majority of people from the UK

Speaking for myself, your apology is not necessary. A group of drunken boxing fans certainly does not speak for an entire nation, classless as they were.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

Floyd would dismantle Cotto right now. And quite easily, I think. Floyd is simply too fast and too hard to hit. He steals 3 or 4 shots and you're lucky to tap him once in the exchange. Nobody figures out their opponent on the fly as quickly as Floyd does... and we're talking top-dog competition. Normally takes him about 3-4 rounds and then he spends the rest of the fight in exploitation-mode. The dude has great trainers, and he listens to them and takes care of business. Cotto's a great body-puncher but so is Hatton. Judah almost took Cotto's head off several times with those counter uppercuts and Floyd is 5 times the counterpuncher Judah is. Cotto is a warrior, but he needs to up his boxing IQ before getting in the ring with "Money". Floyd is simply on another level than these cats and Shane needs to hush his mouth. He shouldn't even fix his mouth to say one word about a fight with Floyd... he brings nothing at this point.
People will try and downplay Hatton a little bit now, but the bottom line is Floyd makes everybody look bad. Everybody.
