If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a little noose around your neck?

No intent to disrespect the deceased but I'm surprised he lived to 69.

I thought that Snake River Canyon jump had killed him 35 or so years ago. When it didn't, I thought the Caesar's Palace incident would. The man must hold some type of record for the most broken bones at one time. Being old like I am, I remember dozens of times when I thought Evel had a death wish.

R.I.P. Evel. You brought amusement into this little boy's world back in the 70s.
People may not remember exactly what you did
or what you said....

~BUT~
they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.

On the other end of the spectrum, I'm surprised he was only 69. I thought he was older.

That's too bad. I met him once when I was 8 years-old. It was at the original Underground Atlanta, I got an autographed picture and shook his hand. I'll never forget that.

Anyone have one of thjose wind-up Evel Kneivel cycle toys when they were a kid? Those things were great!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Unlike most here at thehogs.net, I know you have spent your share of time on dirt bike. This one must hit close to home.

RIP Evel.
