Sadly, I think I answered that last night and this morning.
3 hours.
Last night I had to change the headlights on my '99 Honda Civic, and it turned out to be a more difficult task than I anticipated.
I was excited cause I "upgraded" (read: paid more) to new headlight bulbs (since one had burned out), and I had gotten them on sale at "Trak Auto" (Advance's throwback name).
But, boy, was I in for a long night.
I was able to get the right side light changed in no time, since, the area surrounding the bulb is unobstructed, but the driver's side light was a pain in the butt.
I remembered chaging that light two years ago, and remember having the same issue, but not like yesterday.
Honestly, I rarely get "pissed", but yesterday I could have punched a hole in a wall.
It was dark, cold, and my fingers were hurting from the silly metal hook thing that holds the bulb in place.
Thankfully, this morning (with more light), I was able to secure the light in place and now it's fine.
Today, however, I have a backache (from hunching over inside the car), my fingers are sore (from handling the daggone metal thingy), and my left hand is bruised from trying to maneuver my hand around the engine.
Yes, this is totally random, but, I had to vent. Thanks for reading.
Of course, I did learn a lesson:
Don't change bulbs at night.
I had to learn the hard way. Don't let it happen to you.
