Cowboys vs. Packers

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Cowboys vs. Packers

Post by BeeGee »

Great game to this point. I went in hoping Favre didn't kill us. My hopes have been in vain. What's funny is Favre is killing us because he's NOT in the game.

The Kid Rogers is going up and down the field on us, after we got up by 17. Two straight long methodical drives for Packer touchdowns. This has gone from Romo vs. His hero to Aaron Rogers' coming out party.

Hopefully, we can shut the party down before it gets too good.
Cowboys 7- Redskins 6 (All we needed was 2 minutes of the 60)
Cowboys 17 - Redskins 0 (Way to NOT show up for the 100th anniversary)

How many calls can the refs give the Cowboys in one game? First Whitten gets away with offensive interference, Then the bogus late interference call against the Packers, and now spotting the ball short when he obviously had the 1st down. Is every ref a Pie fan?

We actually got whistled for more penalties in the game, but the PI's really hurt the Packers. Just happy to come away with a win. Rogers looked good and I shook my head all week at Cowboys fans on the radio saying that Ryan Grant was nothing to worry about. He shut that up quick. Big game at Detroit next week, back home for Philly, and then finishing up on the road at Carolina and FedEx. Gotta keep it moving and gotta keep getting better.

Good win by the Cowboys. Their passing game is effortless right now. On a side note, I thought I was over the shock, but seeing all those 21s out there on helmets and Deion's jacket really jarred me.

It's not the amount of penalties, but the timing that I question. The refs gave that game, and therefor probably home field advantage too, to the Cowboys. The Pack was only down by three at that point. The ref on the spot didn't call the PI; it was another guy back by the line of scrimmage, who came running down the field and overruled the guy on top of the play.
Those weren't the only bad calls in the game either. I'm just so sick of the Cowboys getting an inordinate majority of bad calls their way every game, season in and season out.

Packer fans making excuses everywhere and calling me out on the Packers/Skins just to have something to say... Packer fans are pretty pathetic. Almost as pathetic as their secondary.

Here's a pretty good article. (Dated 9 November, '07) detailing the most and least penalized players in the NFL.

I think it's worthy to note that Al Harris and Charles Woodson (of course, he didn't play Thursday) are the most penalized CB tandem in the league
