COWBOYS /REDSKINS Worlds apart

Maybe this isnt the right time for this but I need to vent how I feel guys so stay with me on this

These last two days have been so hard on everyone . Ive been crying and tearing for a good part of the last 24 hours and like all of you did my best to hold back at work and lost it once I got home. Im heartbroken First and foremost For Sean's family and friends and teammates. I asked why Sean? Why the redskins family? Who knows I guess.

Every time I watch ESPN they follow Sean's story with Cowboy/Packer game and my sorrow deepens. This Romo guy has them On a magic carpet ride Wins come some so easily for them. Our Redskins give 100% percent every week but wins never come easy . Being good is chore for us. Say one thing about Gibbs Redskins They come to play every week and always play for there coach but lady luck just doesnt ride with us
Romos cowboys seemed blessed we now seem cursed

The Cowboys are giving there fans a dream year meanwhile were stuck in a nightmare. One is trying win Home field the other wondering if it should take the field. One day when the Burgundy and Gold returns to glory we will remember this week . and we will cry again remembering the pain and sorrow we felt and how lost and confused we were and how far we have traveled. When we return to glory we will remember the week when we lost Sean Taylor and remember the week the Cowboys and Redskins were worlds apart . We seem to be drenched in reality ....There living a Fantasy

Personally I'm not talking or thinking football until after the funeral. No criticism to anyone who thinks otherwise, but right now even the Cowboys winning just doesn't matter.

I agree. I am not really even looking forward to the game on Sunday. I'll watch it of course but football just doesn't seem the same right now. I love watching football but I have learned to appreciate things other than football a lot more. In the end, football is just a game and shouldn't be taken as seriously as some people do. A lot of fans need to learn just to have fun with it.

If we lose the rest of our games this year, I wouldn't care. The memory of ST (a big hit, watching him dance around on the field, etc.) has been flooding my thoughts lately, and honestly, it's the first time I've ever not given a thought as to how we will finish up a season. It just doesn't seem to matter at this point.

That said, football will become a priority again at some point in the future. But right now, for me, Dallas could win the Super Bowl and I really wouldn't care too much. ST's passing has put things in a whole new perspective for me, and crying over the fact that our "#1 enemy" has a dominant team this year suddenly seems so... insignificant.

Well, I am thinking about the game on Sunday. I can care less if we win or lose but I can't wait to be there in those seats with the dedications for Sean. Also, we may be able to run the gambit so to speak this year; this tragedy might just be what our guys needed as some sort of spark. Gosh, I really hope that's not what it took but people find strength out of different things ya know? CP may just play his angriest of his career.

As for the Cowboys, with all the support from their fans that I myself have received from them (and their own sites) I actually find myself hoping they pull off wins for the rest of the year. Yep, it sounds crazy I know but they have a great squad and they know how to play. Of course I hope we beat them but I'm at a point where I don't care if we make it to the playoffs or not. *Playoffs? Playoffs?* (lol) If we do win from here on out, great, if not, oh well.. either way this season will be scarred because we lost our most consistent player, the best safety in the NFL, a father, a son, a brother, and a human being. So with all that said, don't hate on the Cowboys, I mean, does it even really matter?

Im actually very impressed with the cowboys players, team and fanbase for their support on this situation. Very very classy. IF we miss the playoffs, I really wouldnt mind seeing them do well at this point.

for me its tough enough as it is and for sundays game thats all it is just a game but when we lose a brother in the family and lose a life thats just starting to blossom into something special then thats another thing all together .so for me i will just look at the rest of the year as what happens happens ....
it,s all about the game of life thats the most important thing we have is life ..and i,m thankful and we all should be thankful as well come sunday or any given day for that matter...life is short so hug you family and friends and be thankful of what we have and who we love cause we never know when it comes for any of us..

It was just a feeling I had and i wanted to share it...Just how crazy this season has become . Its been surreal

But I will say this....Im so happy today that my Coach is JOE GIBBS..There isnt one coach in the league i would rather have right now..not because of x's and o's but because who he is as a MAN , a father , a grandfather, etc.....

You have to realize that there are two separate factors here that are trying to be combined. Whether there are rivals between players (TO/Randy Moss) or teams (Redskins/Cowboys), there is still a mutual respect for the other players in the league. You can't tell me that, all egos aside, TO and Randy Moss DON'T have repsect for each other's talents. Does that mean they will drink beers together after a game? Definitely not. If something tragic happens, would TO come out and talk about his sincere thoughts about a tragedy that happened to Moss? I would think so. The professional, and mutual, respect is there. I wouldn't think anything less than what IS happening to happen in the NFL. Everyone, fan or foe, of the Redskins realizes what a tragedy it is for a young man to lose his life and the loss of that same young man's family, team, and fanbase has to deal with. So whether Roy Williams or Sean Taylor is the better safety is irrelavent; they are both established professionals with mutual respect.

On my second note, how better can you show tribute to Sean Taylor than to support Sean Taylor's team, the Washington Redskins. You think that he would want the team to shut down and mourn? I HIGHLY doubt it. I think he would want the Redskins to whoop some tail in his tradition. Having Landry in center field blowing up whoever is running that crossing route is what I wanna see. I don't want then to think that Sean Taylor's gone. I want them to have to look up to see if that was #21 or #30, b/c they can't tell the difference when they get knocked the heck out. THAT'S how I would like the skins to pay tribute.

I am looking forward to seeing the show of support and knowing that this is the first time for all us to really come together even though some of us have attended the vigils.

Footballwise, I could care less.
