What do you love?

Post by admin »

In light of today's events with Sean Taylor, and the fact that everyone is likely as speechless as I am... maybe we can start a thread about something positive.

What do you love?

I love Shelagh, my friends (many THN ers in that group), my family, my dog, and when I think about it a little bit...

Life.

Use this thread to give a shout out to those that you hold most dear, and more importantly, take the time to tell them how much you love them.

Family, Friends and the right to complain about trivial nonsense like how my sports teams are playing.

My family does this at Thanksgiving dinner, I am thankful for my close-knit family, a group of really amazing friends (and I also count THNers in that group), my dog Bailey, my job and my health.

I usually say right off the bat, the three F's: Family, Friends, and Football.

And like Mark said, Life.

I'm grateful to be at the position I am at in life and I always do my best to try to not take it for granted.

Life might not always treat me right, but damn it, at least I have it and am fortunate enough to even experience it.

I'm only 20 but I'm lucky, grateful, and honored to have even experienced this much time on Earth.

It is my hope that each of us learns from today to live every day as though it is our last day because we never know if it is.

- My grandson, Aidan's, smile. My daughter-in-law's tireless devotion to him.

- My own kids...memory of my then-twelve-year-old son nearly breaking my hand giving me a high-five after a Redskin TD...my daughter, when she was little, holding onto my little finger...my wife

- the general possibility of something new, of meeting something I hadn't thought of before

- memories I've collected, evidence that people can be good, can overcome mindless, selfish evil

Shelby & Taylor, my two daughters.

For many, many years, I was fortunate enough to have the means to travel, party and push life to its limits. I had a carefree attitude and took advantage of every opportunity life presented, good or bad.

It wasn't until my children came along when I finally realized that life is a gift, is extremely precious and is not to be taken advantage of, at least in the way I was taking advantage of it. They changed my life, dramatically, for the better. I love them more than anything in the entire world and I feel so lucky to have them.

I love my family. I love my friends alive and those who have passed away. I love great teachers and coaches. I love my job, which gives me opportunities to make a difference.

Nice topic.

I'm most thankful for having a wife and 2 kids that love me, and for the ability to give them something to look forward to.

I'm also thankful that football begins right at the time that baseball is driving me up the wall.

God Bless
