Didn't we JUST pick up Mix who's 6'5" 235# this past week?

is fitzgerald even available??? did you see him go up and bring down warners hail mary at the end of the first half. could have used him at the end of our game!
There are several things that I see now and in retrospect that are the problem with this football team. Quite a bit is the players and but the majority falls on coaching and management.
1. The decision to ride the #8 car and not let Al run his offense. Continuing to run Brunell out there when it was clear he was way past done was a huge mistake. Then top that off with not giving Al full reign of the offense. They should have last year to go with JC and run Al's offense. That way, JC would be learning the offense and gaining valuable experience behind center in the process and maybe, just maybe that experience would have prevented JC from throwing two bad picks two weeks in a row that were costly. If last year was a disaster, at least this offense would have had the experience and could have hit the ground running at the start of this year.
2. Discipline. This team has none and certain players are allowed to do what they want while others get that phony-azz "he needs to improve in practice" crap and are sat down. If there was discipline on this team, Portis wouldn't be week 8 just getting his legs back. You have too short a window to allow a guy to "get his legs back" and waste time. Why did you sign Betts to big money only to let him set because Portis was not ready. Then you turn around and pull Betts when he fumbles once and allow Portis to fumble twice yesterday and not pull him... The penalties, the turnovers, the missed opportunities. Disciplined football teams don't have those lapses week after week....
3. Coaching. Very little is being done with that. You hire an OC with a proven track record only to stifle him and this offense because you are trying to run "Redskins Football." The last time I checked, Jacoby, Grimm, Bostic, etc.. were all retired. Buges has had enough time now to convert or turn these guys into the Hogs and it ain't happening. How long do we hope they do? Heck they had a chance yesterday to put their stamp on it and fail miserably on fourth and short. Then the decision to finally open it up a little bit. A little too late if you ask me. What we've seen the last two weeks should have been what we should have seen on opening day. That's why we have mini and training camps and these guys are paid good money. But I guess if your HC doesn't want to do that then you get what you got.

It's funny to hear people blame Joe for "suppressing" Saunders offense. Did I miss the interview on TV where someone who is actually part of the Redskins team said that Saunders offense has been greatly altered by Gibbs? Wasn't it just last season when everyone was saying the exact opposite? Saunders offense was too pass happy and trick play happy and we "needed" Joe to get us back on track with a solid running game? Point is, when the Skins lose, everyone seems to look for that ONE THING to blame all our woes on.
Joe and Al didn't fumble the ball 4 times or turn the ball over 6 times in one game. Our so called "team leaders", Portis and Moss have gift wrapped two games against the Packers and Bucs. Both games we out-played our opponent every where except when the ball was in Portis' and Moss' hands. If you consider how much salary cap space these two players are taking and then consider that our record would be AT LEAST two games better without them, not considering the repeated injuries these two guys have had, I think it is time to for Saunders to start game-planning for an offense where betts in the primary back and Caldwell/ McCardell are our starting WR's. Portis and Moss can be worked into a few packages but I'm tired of seeing them give away games.
I don't think anyone would be upset if the Skins were 7-4 right now. It's time to build our team around some new skilled players. Campbell will be a brilliant QB as soon as we give him some dependable WR's.

I think your right bruh, I also think we have them already with McCardell and Cauldwell. ARE doesn't drop easy passes either so he's dependable to me, plus that option for him to throw the ball is always nice. Moss's heel or whatever it is shouldn't be messing up his hands, but if it is, your right, put the other WRs in instead. Mix will be getting in there soon as well and he's a pretty big guy who I hope will catch some too. If Trash comes back, he's our sleeper guy who can make plays. Lets also not forget about our TEs and RBs who may be able to do something. We've started opening up the offense, now we just gotta play error free which is possible, I have faith.
It has to be really hard to coach a team where you practice all week with Moss and Portis as starters only to see them give the ball away all day Sunday. What can Gibbs do? If you bench a star player, then everyone starts asking questions and the locker room gets divided. If you leave them in the game, they keep fumbling and dropping passes, we lose the game. if you bench them and we lose the game, everyone will blame Gibbs for benching them. It is a tough situation for a coach to be in.
