Of course Philadelphia and Dallas are going to have remarkably easy schedules "on paper". They each get 4 games with teams that finished 4th and 5th worst last season. Both teams have new coaches and are expected to be much better this season though.
With this schedule, Philly and That Team in Team Texas (I don't use the D-word ) will know we are way better than they are after we win the NFC East THIS year

Dallas seems to make up for an easy strength of schedule with some of the oddest scheduling that I've ever seen. I wonder who the brain surgeon is who decided that a January game at NY should be a night game?
The same Einsteins who put playoff games at night in Foxboro, Mass., and Green Bay, Wis.
They really don't give a hoot about insignificant things like climate any more.
Oh, and you heard it here first -- the 2005 Thanksgiving opponent for Dallas: Kansas City.
(It's either them or Denver and we just saw Broncs-Boys 2 or 3 years ago)
Gambit, it looks like your boys have a tougher schedule than us this year. It's about time. You play the tougher teams on the road, while we have most of them at home. I think we have an advantage there. Have you heard anything about who is going to play CB for the Cowboys this year? You may get picked apart in week 1.
Tough schedule? Chicken Little, grab your tail feathers and scamper home!
The Browns. The Bengals. The Lions. The Steelers. The 49ers. The Vikings.
Come on! These are 8-8 teams at best.
Tampa Bay, Ravens, and Packers are playoff teams (gotta give the Bucs credit for winning the big game two years ago) - who don't come close to being steamrollers. Farve is on his last legs. The Bucs are rebuilding. And the Ravens weren't even good enough for TO.
Tough would be the Patriots, Titans, Panthers, Rams, Broncos, Chiefs, Falcons (with Vick), Colts, and Seahawks.
Yeah, we gotta play the NYG, the dorks in Philly, and the blue and silver criminals - twice each. What's new? We won three superbowls playing those guys.
This schedule is so wicked set up for Gibbs to be a success. See my earlier post on this thread with more points.
Spurrier wishes he had this schedule. He'd still have a gig.
Way to stay postive Magoo. This however is a very tough schedule. But than again, any team can win on any given day. So there really are no easy schedules.
I don't understand this schedule bellyaching... we have the Lions, and Tigers (bengals) and Bears, oh my. Add the Browns, 49ers, Bucs and the Steelers and that's 7 .500 or less teams... what more can you ask for? And the Vikings completely melted down at the end of the season and only finished 9-7 because of their great start.
I don't wanna hear the 'yeah but those teams will be better this year schtick either... EVERY team will be different, you can always make an argument that last year's results have little bearing on this year's.. but so what? It's all we have to draw from.
I'm with Magoo... this is a decent schedule for us. No teams are going to look 'easy' when you finished 5-11 the season before.

TerpsHog - Welcome Brother. Sorry fellas for getting off subject. I just miss college and anytime a fellow Terrapin peaks its crazy head I must comment. I dont see to many Terps here in Gators/Seminoles land. Go Terps and I most certainly agree with F**k Duke!
Guys... this is a PG board, any profanity belongs in the smack forum and nowhere else. Throwing a couple of asterisks in a word doesn't qualify as keeping it PG.
Please don't make the moderators jobs any more difficult than it already is and keep it clean.

its really hard to judge "toughness" of a schedual, because one really doesnt know what teams are going to be good or bad, hence the reason why the NFL is the best league in existence,
actually, i just looked over all the schedules in the NFC East and they are all basically the same. the only reason that the cowboys and eagles have schedule ranked easier than ours is because they play US. when we play the eagles or the cowboys (2 playoff teams) it's obviously a statistically a tougher game for us, making our schedule harder. so don't worry boys it's fair...actually, look at philly schedule it looks tougher than ours.
"People that think they know it all are especially annoying to those of us who do."
One thing I like about our schedule is that we have a bi week on week 7. I like it because it gives our guys a little break half way through the season. Poor Carolina got screwed again. Theirs is in week 3. So they have to basically go through the whole season without getting rest. The Cowboys bi-week is on week 4.
Let us all gather around and drink the ey-Aid of the Redskins.
