Jerseys

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Jerseys

Post by LionofJudah89 »

Will we wear our 70th Anniversary jerseys next year? I hope so, they were really nice. If we are we need to change the away unis, those were too white, not enough of the burgundy and gold.

The 70th Anniversary jerseys were for last year only because that was the 70th Anniversary! They looked to much like Florida State Jerseys! Im glad we are staying with the burgundy and Gold!

Not true.

2002 was the Anniversary season, in which they wore the retro uniforms 7 times -- 6 at home and then at Dallas on Thanksgiving.

They were worn just once at home last season -- which the NFL is allowing now, one wearing of a third jersey each season.

And I would surely expect one home wearing again this season.

That, I can truthfully say, would be the yuckiest possible combination and I pray we never see it.

Makes the Redskins look like every other chump team out there -- high school, college and pro.

Didn't we wear those uniforms this year against the Saints or am I just confused?

Last year against the saints the redskins used the 70th aniversary jersey, they never used red on red.

I think this year with Gibbs on board the redskins will wear their traditionañ uniform:white jersy and burgundy (red) pants, just as they did when Gibbs was the coach, they never whore the red shirt at home, hope they`ll continue with Gibbs tradition.

Thanks for the pic. Now seeing it for the first time, I'm more convinced than ever that the red-on-red look is ghastly: :puke:

Wow is this a thread of all men discussing wardrobe choices for our team??? LOL
I saw the coolest thing thing in a sporting goods store locally. It is going to be hard to explain but I'll try. It was burgandy and white. The seam down the side divided it. The front panel was white. And from the seam back was burgundy. It looked awesome. I'd easily bought one of they had anything but Champ's jersey. LOL It was after talk of him leaving. Would this be a cool change for the once a season uniforms they could wear?
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

I've seen those jerseys. Honestly, I hate them. They seem too tacky. I just hope this doesn't become a trend and make teams wear them for real games. I've seen Raiders, Eagles, Falcons, and Redskins ones. IMO so far, they all stink.

that two tone jersey probably won't happen just because it'll be confusing sometimes.

what if the 'skins played kansas city or someone with similar colors? interceptions everywhere!!!! or "i would've tackled him coach but i thought he was on our team!"

of course i guess you could wear solid jerseys for such games and wear the others against green bay or something...

I like the red on red too...I'd like to see it in a game. The dark colors always look better than the white or lighter colors IMO.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.
